Breaking tiles in tantric practice
Basic Powafa:
I found that Bova method is the most important and effective way to care for dying patients, and it is heartily loved by quite a few people. Phowa means change of consciousness in Tibetan. At present, it has spread all over the world, including Australia, the United States and Europe. Because of its power, thousands of people have the opportunity to die solemnly. I'd be happy to introduce Bofaxin to anyone who wants to practice.
Powa method is a method that everyone can practice; Simple and easy to repair is also an important way for us to prepare for our own death. I often teach students to help relatives and friends who are dying or have died through Powa.
Exercise 1
First, sit or lie down in a position that makes you feel comfortable.
Then, find your heart, calm down and relax completely.
1. Above you, please turn any truth you believe into a brilliant light. Choose any god or saint you feel close to; If you are a Buddhist, please invite the Buddha you feel destined for; If you are a Christian, please feel the living manifestation of God, the Holy Spirit, Jesus or the Virgin Mary with all your heart. If you think you have nothing to do with any spiritual figures, imagine a pure golden body above you. The point is that you should regard the object or manifestation you see as the embodiment of truth, wisdom and compassion of all buddhas, saints, gurus and awakened ones. Don't worry about not seeing clearly, as long as you feel that they have appeared in your heart and believe that they really exist.
2. Then, focus your mind and heart on the appearance of the saint you invited, and pray like this:
Through your sympathy, blessing and guidance,
By the power of the light flowing from you:
May all my bad karma, troubles, ignorance and karma be washed away and eliminated.
May all the harm I think and do be forgiven,
May I complete this profound Bowa practice and die peacefully and beautifully.
Through the victory of my death, may I benefit all sentient beings.
Now imagine the light you prayed for, deeply moved by your prayers, returning your loving smile and showing the light of love and mercy in his heart. When these lights touch and penetrate your whole body, wash and purify all your bitter causes, bad karma, troubles and karma. You see and feel your whole body immersed in light.
Now that you have been completely purified and healed by light, imagine that your karma is completely dissolved in light.
Your naked body is now rising into the sky, which is inextricably linked with the sage's auspicious light.
6. Keep it combined with light for as long as possible.
Exercise 2
1. Practice Pova in a simpler way. First, sit quietly as mentioned above, and then invite the incarnation of truth to appear.
2. Imagine that your consciousness is in your heart, shooting out of your heart like a ball of light and a meteor, and flying into the heart of the truth incarnation in front of you.
After melting, it becomes one with the embodiment of truth.
Through this practice, put your heart into the wisdom of the Buddha or the awakened one, just like putting your soul into God. Dingguo Qinzhe Rinpoche said that it is like throwing a small stone into the lake; Imagine it sinking into the water and getting deeper and deeper. Imagine that through blessing, your heart is transformed into the wisdom of the awakened one.
Exercise 3
Powa's most important practice is to combine his own heart with a pure and intelligent heart. Imagine: "My heart and Buddha's heart are one. 」
Among the three methods, choose the one that you felt comfortable or attracted you most at that time. Sometimes, the most powerful method may be the simplest one. Whichever method you choose, the most important thing is to take the time to get familiar with it now. Otherwise, how can you be confident that you know how to practice Buddhism when you or others are dying? My guru Jiang Yangqin Zhe Rinpoche wrote: "If you can observe and practice like this often, it will be easier to practice on your deathbed. 」
In fact, you must practice the Bova method to a skilled level, so that it becomes a natural reflection and becomes your second nature. If you have seen the movie Gandhi, you will know that when he was assassinated, he immediately shouted "lamb ... mutton! In Hinduism, the lamb is the holy name of God. Remember, we don't know how we will die, and we don't know whether we have time to calmly recall any methods. For example, we collided with a truck at 100 mph on the expressway. How do we choose the time? At that time, there won't be a second to think about how to deal with Powafa. We are either familiar with Pova or not. There is a simple way to test: when you are faced with an important situation or crisis, such as an earthquake or a dream, what is your intuitive reaction? Do you immediately think of Bovary? If so, how stable your practice is and how confident you are?
I remember an American student. One day, she rode out and was thrown by a horse. Her foot was caught in the stirrup, and she was dragged along the road by a horse. At that time, she was so scared that her mind went blank. Although she tried to recall some methods, it was useless. She's scared. This shock helped her understand that she must master Buddhism and make it second nature. This is the course she must study; In fact, it is also a course that all of us must study. Try your best to practice the Powa method diligently until you are sure that you can use it to deal with any unforeseen events. This ensures that whenever death comes, you have a plan in mind.
Help dying people with Bova method;
How can we use Pova to help dying people?
The principle and order of revision are exactly the same. The only difference is that you have to imagine the Buddha or God on the dying man's head:
Imagine that the light poured on him, purified him, and then he melted into the light, completely combined with the appearance.
When your dear person is sick, practice the complete Bova method for him; Especially (and most importantly) when he breathed his last breath, or before his body was moved or disturbed after he stopped breathing. If the dying person knows that you are going to practice this method for him and knows its truth, it will surely become a great source of inspiration and tranquility.
Sit quietly next to the dying person and offer a candle or a lamp in front of the Buddha, Christ or the Virgin Mary. Then, practice the Bova method for them. You can practice quietly, and people who are dying don't even need to know; If he can accept it, fix it with him and explain how to fix it.
People often ask me, "If my dying relatives and friends are Christians and I am a Buddhist, is there any conflict?" ? "How can there be conflict? I told them: you are asking the truth. Both Christ and Buddha are merciful incarnations of truth, but they just appear in different ways to help all beings.
I strongly recommend that doctors and nurses can also practice Pova for terminally ill patients. If people who take care of the dying can also practice Bova, the atmosphere in the hospital will be great! I remember when I was a child, when Sangteng died, my guru and other monks were practicing dharma for him. How powerful and noble that is! My deepest prayer is that everyone can have the same blessing and peace as him when he dies.
I specially sorted out this basic Dafa from the traditional Tibetan deathbed practice, covering all the most important principles. Therefore, it is not only a dyeing method, but also can be used for purification and treatment; This is as important to the living as to the sick. If this person has the hope of cure, he can help with the treatment; If this person is dying, it can help him die safely; If this person dies, you can continue to purify his mind.
If you are not sure whether your seriously ill relatives and friends can survive, you can practice bowa for him every time you visit him. Fix it when you get home. The more you practice, the more you can purify your dying relatives and friends. You are not sure whether you will see your friend again or whether you will be with him when he dies. Therefore, every time you visit, you can finish practicing Bovafa as a preparation; And in my spare time, I will continue to maintain it.
