Some people say that the red house in Nanxun Town can only be considered as Jiangnan when you walk in. Why?

Nanxun Town, located in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province, is a tourist hotspot in the south of the Yangtze River. When you come to Nanxun Town, tour guides and local residents will recommend you to visit the "red house" on the Heather River in the ancient town. When you enter the Red Chamber, you will find that it has a unique exotic style, magnificent architecture, luxurious atmosphere and a combination of Chinese and Western styles. The European architecture that looks obvious is the least like the residential architecture in Jiangnan water town. It is the mansion of the third son of Liu Yong, the richest man in Nanxun.

The so-called "Red Mansion" stands out among the white walls of Dahe in the south of the Yangtze River because the walls of its buildings are mostly made of red bricks. The official name of the Red Mansion is "Liu's Ladder", which was built by Liu Yong's third son. His real name is Liu Tiqing, so the house he built was named "Liu's ladder". The whole building area of Liu's staircase is very huge, and the main building inside Guangfu is divided into three parts: south, middle and north. It looks like a deep house compound in a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, but it has a Romanesque architectural style.

Walking into the Red Chamber, I found myself in ancient Europe and Rome. Carved columns, arched round windows and Italian arcades are completely European-style, which is far from the simple artistic conception of Jiangnan water town. There is also a small tennis court, purely European. Surprisingly, the red house was built in 1908. Even now, such a large European building is very luxurious. There was this exotic luxury building in the late Qing Dynasty.

Liu Tiqing was only 33 years old when he built this mansion, but he was already rich. The whole building of the building consists of three parts: south, middle and north. The hall, hall and building in the middle are the main parts, while the buildings in the south and north are Romanesque buildings in western Europe. Unfortunately, some Chinese-style buildings were burned by Japanese invaders, and some western-style Roman buildings are still preserved.
