How to distinguish Hetian jade from Xinjiang material, Russian material, Korean material and Qinghai material?

Hetian jade is a single mineral rock composed of microcrystalline aggregates produced in Hotan, Xinjiang, with less impurity minerals and tremolite as the main component. Subdivision can be divided into mountain material, landscape and seed material. Hetian jade seed material has the best texture, followed by mountains and rivers. Hetian jade has moist characteristics, which is enough to distinguish it from other jade. Russian white material has an obvious feature, that is, high whiteness, but it is a kind of dead white, which seems to have certain porcelain properties. In short, the overall color of Russian material is tough and cold, and the seed material of white jade is more or less green or gray.

The main producing area of Korean materials is Chuncheon in the south of the Korean Peninsula. Most of the local serpentine is blue, yellow and brown. The chemical composition of Korean raw materials is basically similar to Hetian jade, and its hardness and density are close to Hetian jade. Korean material is loose in texture, strong in graininess and waxy in luster after polishing; Hetian jade is delicate and greasy.

Qinghai jade is basically a mountain material, the texture is not as delicate as Hetian jade, and it lacks the oily feeling of lanolin jade, and its proportion is slightly lower than Hetian jade. Qinghai is translucent, and its transparency is better than Hetian jade. The transparent waterline is often visible, and the color of the blue sea material is a bit wrong. Jade materials in gray, green and Huang San are often mixed with jade materials in black and white, black and yellow, green and white, green and Huang San, and used as exotic colors.

We can't rely on any of them. We should consider it comprehensively from many aspects. Hetian jade from different producing areas may have similar producing areas, and Hetian jade from the same producing area may have different producing areas.
