Prose on holiday customs
After the winter vacation, the Chinese New Year is not far away. I like China New Year very much. On that day, I will buy a lot of delicious food with my mother and eat it while watching the Spring Festival party. I am very happy. Spring Festival is an important festival in China. Many customs and habits have been passed down to this day.
After entering the twelfth lunar month, it is immediately the twenty-third of the twelfth lunar month, commonly known as off-year. Legend has it that "the kitchen god ascended to heaven", so it is necessary to sacrifice the kitchen stove.
"On the 24th day of the twelfth lunar month, dust sweeps the house". According to Lv Chunqiu, China had the custom of sweeping dust during the Spring Festival in the Yao and Shun era. According to the folk saying: Because of the homonym of "dust" and "Chen", sweeping dust in the Spring Festival means "getting rid of the old and not being new", and its original intention is to sweep away all bad luck and bad luck. This custom has placed people's desire to break the old and create new ones and their prayers to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new. "On the 25th of the twelfth lunar month, push the mill to make tofu", "On the 26th of the twelfth lunar month, kill pigs and cut annual meat", "On the 27th of the twelfth lunar month, kill chickens and go to the market", "On the 28th of the twelfth lunar month, bake cakes and steam steamed buns with decals" and "On the 29th of the twelfth lunar month, please make a big donation to your ancestors at the grave". The thirtieth day of the twelfth lunar month is New Year's Eve, and the Spring Festival couplets are also called door couplets, spring stickers and spring couplets. During the Spring Festival, no matter in urban or rural areas, every household should choose a pair of red Spring Festival couplets and stick them on the door to increase the festive atmosphere of the festival, and also put the window grilles and the word "Fu" upside down. While putting up Spring Festival couplets, some people have to put large and small "Fu" characters on doors, walls and lintels. Sticking the word "Fu" during the Spring Festival is a long-standing folk custom in China. The word "Fu" symbolizes good luck and wishes for a happy life and a bright future.
I am the happiest after dinner. I will give my grandparents lucky money after I pay them a New Year call. The whole family get together to celebrate the Spring Festival and have fun!
