Introduce Wuhan in English
Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China, a sub-provincial city, and the national central city of China, is located in the east of Jianghan Plain and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. [1] The Yangtze River, the third longest river in the world, and its tributaries, the Han River, cross Wuhan, dividing Wuhan into three cities: Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, so it is known as the "Jiangcheng". [2] Known as the thoroughfare of nine provinces, Wuhan is the largest land, sea and air transportation hub in Central China, and [3] is the center of finance, commerce, logistics, trade, culture and science and education in Central China. 19861February was named as a famous historical and cultural city in China. [4] It is the birthplace of the Republic of China, where the Wuchang Uprising took place.
