The process of making a bed with joinery boards.

The joinery board bed-making tutorial is as follows:

1, bedstead making: Today, the old carpenter shared a simple wooden bed covered with Simmons mattress, so the bedstead should be made according to the existing Simmons specifications. First, put the Simmons mattress on the ground, and the size of the mattress is 120* 190cm. Then enclose the mattress with four squares of 12*2.5cm used to make the bedstead (as shown in the figure), and then mark the bedstead specifications with a pencil.

2. Beating the bed beam: After the bed frame is finished, add bed beams on both sides of the inner wall of the bed frame to place the bed board. First cut two bed beams with a width of 5cm and a thickness of 2.5cm, which are slightly shorter than the length of the bedstead. Then put the cut two bed beams on the inner sides of both sides of the bedstead, the position is 2.5cm lower than the bed edge (bed plate thickness), then fix them with C-clips and reinforce them with wood screws.

3. Bed board: Before making the bed board, measure the width of the bed board with a tape measure. The bed board is made of pine, which is economical and practical. Flexible half-groove splicing (or tongue-and-groove edge connection) is adopted between the bed boards, so that only laying in sequence is needed when laying, and disassembly is also very convenient and quick.

4. Saw the robot leg: First, prepare some old wooden stakes with a diameter of about 12cm, and use a woodworking saw (as shown in the figure) to saw four stakes with a height of 30cm for making the robot leg. Then use a pencil to draw out the external position of the four corners of the bedstead, and then use a woodworking saw to saw the tenon groove. After the legs of the bed are made at first, turn the bedstead over, clamp the legs on the bedstead, cut off the extra section (inside), and finally assemble it.

5. Carbonized wood: There are many ways to make a simple wooden bed. The highlight of this solid wood bed is carbonization technology. Carbonized wood technology has been used more and more in recent years, especially some furniture, handicrafts and decorative materials with individual design. Carbonized wood technology is wood obtained by carbonizing wood. The carbonized wood on the surface of furniture is usually barbecued with oxygen welding torch, which makes the wood surface have a thin carbonized layer, which can highlight the uneven wood grain on the surface and produce a three-dimensional effect. Here, we mainly carbonize bed legs and bedsteads. After carbonization, it will be fully polished and finally painted. It turns out that solid wood beds can also do this.
