Dragon Mother Festival.

The Dragon Mother's Festival is held on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar every year in Shimen Village, Tanghong Township, Shanglin County.

Opening ceremonial performances, lion dance, waist dance; folk song competitions; sacrifices to the Dragon Mother and special digs, division dance performances, on the mountain of swords and under the sea of fire; folk skills competitions, such as playing gyro, jumping lattice, cockfighting, bamboo poles and so on

They sew and embroider small cloth people with various colors of cloth. The cloth man is dressed in Ming Dynasty costume, and the little cloth man holds a golden-colored pumpkin in his arms. The pumpkin is filled with herbs such as mugwort, dahurica and cangzhu.

Butterfly Valley is located near Huangyun Village in Xiyan Township, Shanglin County. It's on the second roadside in Mashang, and you can see it through the culvert of the Laima highway.
