The purpose and significance of primary school students' classic reading
(1) Reading Chinese classics is conducive to cultivating children's noble qualities.
According to scientific research, 80%-90% of successful people in the world rely on emotional intelligence, and only 10%-20% rely on IQ. Therefore, in order to make children become useful talents, we must first cultivate their noble qualities, and reading classics is the best shortcut to cultivate their noble qualities. Most of the children in my class come from the countryside, and most of them are left-behind children. Children's habits are very bad. I think Disciple Rules is a good textbook. It tells us that from an early age, we should "put filial piety first, put filial piety second, love the public, be kind, spare no effort to learn literature." These basic principles of being a man and doing things show that before learning knowledge, we must first learn to be a man. I use my spare time to ask the students in my class to read aloud, and I strictly demand my words and deeds according to the facts: for example, there is a young son of Yang in my class, who is very smart, but doesn't like reading. A new book becomes dirty and messy in a few days. The reason is that he always keeps it around, so I asked him to recite "classics, stand, read and restore." I should not only be able to recite it, but also be able to tell him the meaning of this sentence. From then on, he acted according to the rules. Whenever a student litters, I ask the whole class to recite the above sentence to them, and the bad habits in this respect are gradually changed. When our children sit and stand incorrectly, I ask them to recite "Walk calmly and walk upright …"; When our children pay too much attention to food and clothing, I always ask them to call themselves "noble, inexpensive, follow the rules and call themselves home;" For diet, don't choose, eat properly, and don't overdo it. " Remind yourself. After two years of reading practice, I found that the study habits and behavior habits of children in my class are really different from those of children in the same grade, which have been recognized by some teachers in the school and supported and endorsed by parents. Different reading materials have different knowledge, and you can understand many truths that are not mentioned in textbooks or parents and teachers. ?
(2) Reading Chinese classics can increase literacy.
Reading the classics such as Saint Amethyst, Hundred Family Names, Qian Wen Zi and Saint Mo Meng Qi in the lower grades of primary schools can obviously and quickly improve the literacy rate. For example, the children in my class will know nearly 3,000 Chinese characters in one semester by reading three-character classics, disciples' rules, hundreds of surnames and thousands of characters in the next semester. After reading the classics of Chinese studies in our class for two years, they can naturally understand 10 thousand to 20 thousand Chinese characters easily. If only compared with textbooks, it is equivalent to exceeding the literacy level of the sixth grade, which naturally clears many word barriers for children when reading other books.
(3) Reading Chinese classics can significantly improve children's memory ability.
Primary school is the golden age of children's memory. If effectively developed, it will be found that this is an extremely rich mineral deposit. However, if this memory potential is not developed, it will deteriorate with the growth of children's age. Once it is successfully developed, it can not only remember Superman now, but also accompany him for life. From this perspective, the reading of Chinese classics has developed students' lifelong potential. At the same time, reading Chinese classics is also the cultural background of children's life. As they grow older, they will have a deeper understanding of these classics and will benefit for life. This point has been fully proved in the reading activities of Chinese classics in our class. Last semester, children spent half their time studying textbooks and half their time reading famous books. By the end of the semester, each child had recited nearly 100 ancient poems and recited "Rion Duyun". Because children recite more, they gradually enjoy it and find some good ways to recite. Because of the improvement of memory speed, it brings a lot of convenience to children to learn Chinese textbooks. For example, in the past, when teaching an ancient poem, sometimes half of the children could not recite twenty words in a class. It's different now. It takes children about twenty minutes to write down three ancient poems or more than one hundred words every morning. For example, when reading Zhang's "Moonlit Night on a Spring River", all the teachers in our school's Chinese group had a competition with our children. It took the teachers a whole hour to write it down, while it took our children only about 40 minutes to finish it, and it was so easy. Because of a certain memory method and speed, children are handy when reading modern texts. The children have just entered the third grade. As soon as the new book was published that day, I casually said, "Who can recite the first lesson in the textbook in ten minutes?" That means that his recitation task in the summer vacation must have been completed. "The words sound just fell and the children read aloud. Even if it is new content, I don't need to model it. They know how to pause and read at what speed and tone. Ten minutes later, there were more than 50 children in the class, and only ten children could not finish reciting, and the content that could not be memorized was only one or two small paragraphs. This fully shows that reading more classics of Chinese studies will definitely improve children's memory ability.
