Several levels of protected animals of Chinese garden dogs

Chinese garden dogs are not national key protected animals, so there is no grade.

Chinese garden dog, traditionally called "local dog", is also called "shiba dog" in some places in the north. It belongs to Carnivora, Canidae and Caninae. When it grows up, its shoulder height is about 25-55cm and its weight is about 1-3kg. Belongs to the native dog breed to be saved. It used to be widely used in rural areas of China and Southeast Asia, but now it is widely used as a pet dog in urbanization.

Chinese garden dogs have always been ignored, and they have been almost naturally selected and bred freely for a long time. Due to special historical and cultural factors, the number of Chinese garden dogs is decreasing sharply. Because of the introduction of a large number of foreign dog breeds, the gorgeous appearance and valuable pedigree of foreign dog breeds make the situation of Chinese garden dogs even worse.

On the verge of extinction:

Purebred Chinese garden dogs (yellow dogs, shiba dogs) were more common in the 2th century. Due to the improvement of people's living standards in the 21st century, a large number of foreign dogs were introduced, which led to the neglect of purebred Chinese garden dogs, and then decreased sharply. Then most purebred Chinese garden dogs were cast aside on the streets by dog catcher and other people who didn't like soil dogs.

Biting incidents caused by some foreign dogs and fierce dogs are usually detained on the head of local dogs, which leads to the infamous local dogs and even the ban on raising dogs, which simply adds insult to injury to the situation of Chinese garden dogs. Even some irresponsible dog owners freely raise foreign dogs, which leads to the hybridization of dogs and gradually breeds into serial dogs and mixed-race dogs.
