Zisha Pot Famous Artist Wu Zuping

Wu Zuping, a native of Yixing, Jiangsu Province, is one of China's leading Zisha pot makers. He began to learn the art of making zisha pots in the 1960s, and worked for many years at the China Zisha Craft Institute, where he researched and created a large number of zisha pots. His pots are known for their simplicity of shape, smooth lines, natural colors and comfortable feel, and he is known as the "Master of Zisha Pot".

Wu Zuping's works have won many awards in exhibitions both at home and abroad, including the Gold Medal at the Chinese Folk Crafts Exposition in 1987, 1991, and 1995, and the Silver Medal and Gold Medal at the International Handicrafts Exhibition in Paris, France, in 1997 and 1999. His works are also collected in museums and private collectors' collections all over the world.

Wu Zuping is one of the representative figures of Chinese Zisha pot culture, and his works represent the high level and exquisite skills of Chinese Zisha pot making, as well as making a great contribution to the promotion and dissemination of Chinese traditional handicrafts in the international arena.
