What is a heat pipe?
The working principle of heat pipe is mainly to use the phase change process that the medium evaporates at the hot end and condenses at the cold end, that is, to conduct heat quickly by using the latent heat of liquid evaporation and condensation. Heat pipe usually consists of shell, wick and end cover. The inside of the heat pipe is pumped into a negative pressure state and filled with appropriate liquid, which has a low boiling point and is volatile.
In the field of heat transfer, heat pipes are equivalent to thermal superconductors, and the heat transfer efficiency is much higher than that of traditional heat transfer methods. The heat transfer efficiency is dozens or even hundreds of times that of known metals, and the heat transfer principle has undergone fundamental changes.
The working principle of heat pipe is to transfer the heat of the object to the other end by using the principle of heat conduction and the property of rapid heat transfer with the medium with temperature difference. In addition to high heat transfer, heat pipe has the characteristics of good temperature uniformity, variable heat flux and good constant temperature.
Characteristics of heat pipe:
1, high heat transfer efficiency: the heat transfer efficiency of heat pipe is several times or even dozens of times higher than that of ordinary heat transfer elements, which is due to the rapid circulation and evaporation and condensation process of working liquid in heat pipe, so that heat can be transferred quickly.
2. Good isotherm: the heat pipe can keep the wall temperature stable, so that it can still maintain high heat transfer efficiency when the heat load changes.
3. Small size and light weight: The size and weight of the heat pipe are relatively small, which can effectively reduce the size and weight of the equipment.
4. Good adaptability: the heat pipe can adapt to various heat sources and cold sources, and can still maintain high heat transfer efficiency under the condition of great temperature change.
5. Energy saving and environmental protection: the heat transfer process of the heat pipe does not need external energy, and the heat generated in the evaporation and condensation process of the working liquid can be recycled, which has good energy saving and environmental protection effects.
