Why is Tibetan medicine the traditional medicine of China ethnic minorities?

Traditional medicine created and developed by Tibetan-dominated ethnic minorities in long-term medical practice, referred to as Tibetan medicine or Tibetan medicine, is an important part of traditional Chinese medicine, which is mainly popular in Tibetan-inhabited areas, including Tibet, Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu, Yunnan, Inner Mongolia and other provinces. It is also very popular abroad, especially in South Asia such as India and Nepal. Since the 20th century, it has also had a certain impact on western countries.

Tibetan medicine rose from Songtsan Gambu to Chisong Dêzain, and was formed on the basis of Tibetan traditional medical theory, absorbing and drawing lessons from China medical theory and Indian medical theory. According to the theory of Tibetan medicine, there are three major factors in the human body: lung (qi), chiba (fire) and bacon (soil and water). Seven material bases: subtle diet, meat, blood, fat, bone, bone marrow and essence; Shit, urine and sweat. Three major factors dominate the seven material bases and the operational changes of the three excreta. It is believed that the causes of human diseases lie in the influence of environment, climate, diet, daily life and the imbalance of three factors in the body. The diagnosis method also adopts listening, listening and questioning, paying special attention to the changes of tongue coating and the first urination in the morning. Diseases are divided into two categories: heat syndrome and cold syndrome, and patients are divided into lung type, chiba type and bacon type. Drug therapy can be divided into oral and external use. The principle of "heat is cold" and "cold is warm" is adopted for oral administration. External treatments include moxibustion, bloodletting, cupping, hot ghee to stop bleeding, and highland barley distiller's grains applied to the affected area. Commonly used drugs are composed of many kinds of drugs, including 1400 kinds of * *, some of which are special products of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The theoretical system of Tibetan medicine is complete, and there are many medical classics. Among them, the most famous is the Four Medical Codes written by Mayuan Dangombo, You Douning, in the 8th century. The publication of this book marks the formation of the Tibetan medical system. Since then, Tibetan medicine has developed on the basis of four medical codes.
