What race are the Inuit?
Inuit, like Indians, came to America from the Bering Strait later. Inuit people mainly show the racial characteristics of the yellow race. Inuit belong to a branch of Mongolian race in East Asia. They are short and fat, with yellow skin, black hair, slender eyes and wide noses.
Inuit used to be called Eskimos, which is the language of Algonquin tribe in India, meaning "people who eat raw meat", while Inuit is their own name, meaning "human".
Traditional life:
The traditional Inuit life is either on the move or on the way. Inuit families can't keep dogs, sledge and hunt without it. Dogs will take their owners and look for holes where seals can breathe. The vigilant seal will leave several blowholes, and the hunters will act together and wait at each blowhole.
The dog lay quietly in the snow, waiting for the seal to die. Sometimes hours, sometimes days. But the hunter is patient, because if he doesn't bring food back, the whole family and the whole village will starve.
