The brief meeting passed quickly, just like a cloud floating in the air, disappeared without a trace and never came back.

In the seventh year of Xining (1074), the poet and Chen Lingju traveled by boat, drank and laughed, but always got together separately. In order to express his regret for Chen Lingju, the poet wrote this poem for him.
