Tesla's cheapest ModelS model will no longer be sold

The Model S75, the cheapest model in the lineup, will be discontinued on Sept. 24 as Tesla further streamlines its lineup. The entry-level model, which starts at $69,500 and sells for $723,500 domestically, has rear-wheel drive. Its discontinuation means that all ModelS models are 4WD, and the cheapest S-series model is the 75D, which starts at $74,500 and sells for $772,200 domestically. Tesla differs from traditional car companies, which tie model changes to the year. The upstart car company's model hardware and software upgrade model is internet-based, with frequent iterations, constantly eliminating lower-grade products and enriching the competitiveness of the product line being sold. Before our eyes is the disappearance of the Model 75 and the emergence of the SP100D. The driving force behind this is the reduction in the cost of core components such as batteries, which allows Tesla to utilize the remaining costs to increase product functionality and bring a more extreme experience to users, rather than simply lowering prices.
