The Chaoshan people are famous for their love of coarse grits, which are available in countless varieties, and one of the most suitable for eating in the morning is the sauce of coarse grits. "Wine is not afraid of the deep alley" is true. Although Guantang is far from downtown Chaozhou (about half an hour's drive), every beef hot pot restaurant is bustling. The Miu Tea House is housed in a small tidal "four-pointed gold" old house, which has a history of more than 100 years. The owners restored it to its former glory and transformed it into the teahouse it is today.

The teahouse in the small courtyard even uses a charcoal-burning red clay stove to boil water, which is unique. A few clusters of bamboo and greenery are planted along the fence, making it quaint and elegant.

Kick Peach Cafe is the most "internet celebrity" cafe in Chaozhou. Kicking Peach" is a Teochew dialect, which translates to "going out to play". The atmosphere of the café is as fun as its name.

I knew about this store purely by chance. When a local friend came to visit us in Chaozhou, he brought a few bags of potatoes from home. Although a few of us were full at the time, the bags of potatoes were swept away. It's no exaggeration to say that they were the best I've had in years. Choose your own fruits, priced by weighing. Most recommended are the Lotus Mist, Young Peach, Green Mango, Sweet Mango, and Peach. The crunchy texture with licorice juice is a must. It can be considered a new way of opening fruits, or the fruits cut by others are always delicious.

The above is pretty much the food record of this Teochew trip. If you want to eat all the authentic Chaozhou snacks, you can completely avoid the main street of Pai Fang Street. The alleys where the locals gather have the most food.
