Li Shu (隶书), a typeface of Chinese characters, Qin Li (秦隶) and Han Li (汉隶), etc. It is generally believed to have developed from the Seal Script (篆书), with a broad and flat shape, with long horizontal strokes and short vertical strokes, and emphasizing on the "Silkworm's Head, Swallow's Tail" and the "Wave, Three Twists and Turns".
Since the middle of the Western Han Dynasty, the independent form of the official script, which is free from the seal script (including the structure and writing style of the strokes), has been fully formed. The representative ones we have seen, such as the inscriptions on the lacquer plates excavated from the tomb of Lelang Han in the fourth year of Emperor Ping's reign in the Western Han Dynasty and the twelfth year of Emperor Ming's reign in the Eastern Han Dynasty, etc., which appeared in the quicksand of the Western Han Dynasty in the current century, not only have the structure of the script changed, but also the characters have become square or flat in shape, and the strokes have become long wave-like, and the strokes have become long wave-like. The strokes are more natural and horizontal, and are very different from the straight hanging form of the seal script.
