The Origin of Liuhe Temple in Xinghua Mansion

Liuhe Hall of Xinghua House, also known as "Tianyi Pavilion", is located in the center of xinghua city, Taixing City, Jiangsu Province. Founded in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, it was originally one of Xinghua prefecture schools, which was used for entrance examination and official education.

Later, Liuhetang became one of the most important imperial examination rooms in Taixing, and Jinshi had to go through Liuhetang's selection before taking the provincial examination. Therefore, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Liuhe Hall can be regarded as a very important cultural place.

In addition, Liuhetang was also a cultural and educational activity place established by Yang Jisheng, Governor of Qingjiangpu during Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. In particular, he incorporated the meanings of "auspiciousness", "happiness" and "harmony" into the names of the six halls, symbolizing the harmony and prosperity of people all over the world. Liuhe Hall has a bedroom and a stage for the governor and guests to hold cultural activities.

It is said that Liuhe Hall was built in the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty to commemorate the local dutiful son Li Quancheng. Up to now, Liuhetang in Xinghua House is still one of the important cultural heritages in xinghua city, Jiangsu Province, which is of great significance to inherit and carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture and enhance the soft power of the country.
