What is the relationship between Tai Ji Chuan and Pusher?

First, what is the pusher?

In essence, pushing hands is to effectively train and apply the eight-sided strength method you have learned in boxing. In the process of training and application, many interesting things will be performed, which will make people feel interesting and unforgettable, so Tai Chi tuishou is loved by the majority of fans.

Secondly, Tai Ji Chuan is one thing and two bodies, and Mr. Yang Chengfu named his book 1934 "The Complete Book of Physical Use in Tai Ji Chuan". Obviously, Tai Ji Chuan can be divided into "body" and "use". The boxing frame is "body" and the pusher is "use". Therefore, as a Tai Ji Chuan lover, we should not only exercise well, but also know how to use it further. Apply what you have learned, know the body and use it, and combine body and use it to make the boxing practice more perfect and perfect.

Third, the ancients said, "It's the thugs who walk on the shelf, and the thugs walk on the shelf." . Walking on the shelf is also called practicing boxing, and the thugs are pushing hands. Before Tai Ji Chuan spread to the south, pushers were called thugs. So judging from this sentence, "fist is hand, and hand is fist". The ancients said: "How well you practice boxing can be verified by pushing hands", and how well a person practices boxing can be reflected in your hands, so the combination of boxers can make you improve your boxing continuously.

Fourthly, from the point of view of modern medicine, the double pushing technique that does not affect the other party's center of gravity is also called health promotion. Two people massage each other by pushing hands, which can relax meridians, dredge qi and blood, strengthen waist and legs, and thus strengthen bones and muscles. It also has a good medical effect on kidney-qi deficiency, which can enhance memory and prevent premature aging, and even has a good auxiliary medical effect on some diseases.

So from the above four points, pushing hands is worth learning.

Second, the status quo of Tai Ji Chuan Pushing Hands in China

(1) There are two forms of Tai Ji Chuan pushing hands in China: traditional pushing hands and competitive pushing hands promoted by the state.

1, traditional deduction

Traditional deduction has a history of more than 400 years. It is Chen's original double push technique in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. From Chen Changxing to Yang Lvchan, other schools were born from Yang Jiayan. Each school has its own characteristics, different training methods and different styles. For example, Chen's fader still retains some of its original appearance, with low posture and grasping methods such as pins and joints. Yang's pushing method is based on strength, emphasizes strength and pays attention to taking the strength of the other side. Wu-style massage is mainly good at softness and rigidity, and it is hard before hitting.

2. Competition-driven technologies now implemented.

After liberation, the simplified Tai Ji Chuan was introduced in 1956, and the Type 88 Tai Ji Chuan was introduced in 1958. In 1960s, Taiji Pushing Hands was tried to be included in modern competitive events. From the early 1960s to the late 1970s, many experiments were carried out. Until 1979, Tai Chi tuishou, as a pilot project, held its first exhibition match at the National Wushu Observation and Exchange Conference held in Nanning.

1989 Pushing Hands Competition was officially incorporated into the national competition.

199 1 Approved by the State Sports Commission, the Rules of Tai Ji Chuan Pushing Competition was officially promulgated.

1992 the first national seminar on promoting Tai Ji Chuan was held in Jinan.

1993 The Second National Tai Ji Chuan Pushing Hands Observation and Exchange Conference was held in Hangzhou.

1994, the national Tai Ji Chuan Pushing Competition was officially held, and women can also participate, and the rules of the Pushing Competition were re-promulgated.

The appearance and development of competitive pushers pushed the modern Tai Ji Chuan movement to a new height.

(2) Traditional push and competitive push coexist in the sports field of Tai Ji Chuan in China, but their training purposes are different:

1, Traditional Push Method: Traditional Push Method is an intermediate transitional training method for Tai Ji Chuan's transition to Taiji Sanshou. Now it can be used to learn martial arts from each other, enhance friendship and help each other, thus improving boxing level.

2, modern competitive pusher: clear goals, win or lose, win the championship.

(3) Because the traditional pusher and the modern competitive pusher have different purposes, the exercise methods are also different.

1. Traditional Tai Ji Chuan is the product of feudal times. As soon as it was born, it should be based on the society, so all factions have a complete theoretical system and a complete training method. Pushing hands, as an intermediate excessive textbook of Tai Ji Chuan, started from routine to pushing hands, and then from pushing hands to Sanshou. Theoretically, in On Tai Ji Chuan, Mr. Wang Zongyue expounded the three stages of Tai Ji Chuan's practice: familiarity, knowledge and spirit. Walking is a mature stage, and pushing hands is a process of practicing knowledge. How to practice knowledge well? Just practice touching, sticking, connecting and following first, and then practice listening, so that you can understand. It's easy to practice your senses. Therefore, when we practice pushing hands, we should go around first and then talk hard, and then it seems to be broken and connected. Now it's called Asian Sanshou, and then it's also called Sanshou when it transitions to broken hands. Through this procedure, we can achieve the skills of following the trend, combining rigidity with softness, being light and heavy, winning fast with slowness, winning big with small, and dialing a thousand pounds with four or two.

2. Modern competitive pushers: Modern competitive pushers add elements of modern competitive sports on the basis of traditional pushers, so that Taiji pushers can enter the field of modern competitive sports. Therefore, modern competitive pushers mainly talk about strength, speed and skills, and don't emphasize that small strength is better than strong strength and four or two. Therefore, most practitioners work hard on physical strength, strength and tricks. In order to get quick success and instant benefit, some athletes seldom work hard on the basic skills of boxing, so there are wrestling disputes such as pushing cattle, wrestling and sumo in the competition field, which is hard for everyone to accept. Because everyone is used to Tai Chi legend, he is soft, hardworking and diligent, and he doesn't like the pushers who are competitive. That's understandable.

Third, is pushing hands mysterious?

Some students say that pushing hands is mysterious and difficult to learn. I said pushing hands is not mysterious, but easy to learn. Because it is very convenient for a person to practice boxing and walk, you can take pictures as long as you remember the routine. Pushing hands can't be done because pushing hands is practiced by two people. It's not how you want to practice, but how you want to follow the action rules of two people. In essence, we practice boxing every day. No matter what boxing frame you practice, there will always be a crow's feet in it. Take (85-style) Biography of Yang Tai as an example, "catching the bird's tail" is just one of the 85-style. Practicing four forehands with pushing hands is essentially practicing "catching the sparrow's tail". I once wrote an article "The Legend of Taiji and the Blue Que Tail" published in the first issue of Taiji magazine in 2004, which talked about the importance of the blue Que Tail in Taiji biography. A bird's tail includes four forces: pressing, sliding, squeezing and pressing. The four positive pushing hands are essentially the exercises of these four forces, so you think that if you practice a set of boxing methods, it will be difficult for you to come up with a name of boxing potential and practice in pairs.

Practice pushing hands should pay attention to methods. To sum up, there are three aspects:

1, the other party hit me with his hand, and I rowed to both sides, failing to make it smaller than me.

2, the other hand hit me, I passed this point, return it, return the other party.

3. The other party hit me hard, and I intercepted, stopped and returned. These three methods are not my original creation. The inspiration comes from the article "Tai Ji Chuan's Playing Techniques" written by Wu Tunan, a famous Tai Ji Chuan scientist in China, in 1936. Therefore, when you see my statement, you will be able to solve your doubts. Tai Chi tuishou is easy to learn but not easy to practice. As long as you have perseverance and practice according to the arguments left by the ancients, I think you will get in. (Please refer to Wu Tunan's "Tai Ji Chuan Playing Techniques", attached)

Four, talk about eight methods and five steps

As we all know, Tai Ji Chuan (modern Tai Ji Chuan) and the traditional boxing we are practicing now are composed of eight methods and five steps. The eight methods are: push, slide, squeeze, press, pick, pull, elbow and lean. These five steps are: forward, backward, caring, hope and decision. They constitute the thirteen potentials, also known as the thirteen potentials of Taiji.

(1) Let's talk about eight methods (that is, eight strength methods):

1, strength: strength is the power to move forward. As strong as a fence, it means keeping the enemy out. Used for attack, defense and mobilization. Is the main force in Tai Ji Chuan. Some people call Tai Ji Chuan a fist, which means that Tai Ji Chuan should have a "fist" everywhere, and his arms should have rounded support. This circular supporting force is an expanding force from the inside out, and it is elastic in any case. So say "in two arms". As the boxing says, "put your hands and arms together and attack at will."

Ji Yun: What is the solution to "strength and righteousness"? Like a boat full of water.

First, show your strength, and second, bow your head.

The whole body spring force opens and closes a room.

No matter how heavy things are, it is natural to float.

When applying Stretch, please note the following points:

(1) Hold your opponent, not confront him.

(2) Keep your arms at a certain distance from your body.

(3) In use, we should implement the principle that the enemy advances and we retreat, and the enemy retreats and we advance, and stick to each other.

2. Power of paddling: Power in Tai Ji Chuan. Walk according to each other's strength. "Touch in the palm" means that when touching, the front hand is at the ulna near the wrist, gently sticking to the elbow of the opponent, and the back hand is at the palm or palm back, touching the opponent's wrist, and both hands are one arm away from the opponent. It can go sideways to its own side according to the change of the other party's external force. Take advantage of the trend and put each other's strength. Then variable attack.

Ji Yun: What do you mean by smoothing strength? Before booting.

Let the power follow, and the light spirit will not lose the top.

Guide it to prolong and run out naturally.

Self-control, don't be taken away by others

Pay attention to the following points when using paddling power:

(1) Follow your opponent's strength and change its direction slightly.

(2) Turn the waist, sit on the crotch, wrap around the crotch, and pull the back with the chest, not stiff.

(3) Stick to each other's wrists and elbows to prevent each other from having a stroke.

(4) When touching, it must be light to play a traction role. When it changes direction, it is not easy for the enemy to find it.

3. Squeeze: Squeeze into an offensive force. After smoothing your opponent's momentum, you can squeeze your hand at any time and hit him. As the boxing theory says: "Two methods of flat squeezing, follow the trend." Generally, when we push hands, we often shake hands. "Pinch on the back of your hand" means to use force or force. Joint strength is a combination of two hands and one force. Long strength is the strength of the whole body strung into a line and stretching out.

Ji Yun: What do you mean by crowding? The elasticity on the back of the hand.

Because of the change of the enemy, looking for fighters.

Indirect reaction, such as the ball hitting the wall.

Soft outside and rigid inside, calm and not bullying.

In the application of extrusion force, we should pay attention to two points:

(1) When extruding, be sure to close the other side's power path and strengthen the adhesion until it reaches a dead corner.

(2) Be sure to take the horizontal direction during extrusion.

4, pressure strength: attack on time. When using pressing force, first turn the opponent's coming force to the left or right with lifting force, and press your hands hard on the opponent's wrist and elbow for a long time. The key to pressing the hand is the waist, so you can press the waist to attack, and you can't rely on the strength of your hand alone, so you say "press the waist to attack." As the boxing formula says, "a hand is like falling."

Ji Yun: What is the solution to pressing strength? Push your palms forward.

Qi comes from the abdomen, and waist attack is important.

It will be full when it is high, and it will dive when it is concave.

The waves have ups and downs, so you must get in when you have time.

When applying pressure, pay attention to the following points:

(1) Before pressing, there is an inward and downward movement, then the wrist rotates outward and presses forward and upward. One thing before pressing is an integral part of pressing, that is, "If you want to go outward, you must go inward first".

(2) On time, you need to sink your shoulders and bend your elbows. You don't have to be clumsy. Gently press forward, your hands must be light and smart to be effective.

5, strength: take the power of the other side. Describing techniques such as picking fruits or flowers is neither too light nor too heavy, and the techniques are as skillful as picking tea and catching cicadas. When exerting force, it is loose and tight, or it will be issued as soon as it falls, sinking first and then lifting, or smoothing and then reversing. When using a short grip, it will flash quickly, causing the opponent's strength to suddenly collapse to the ground.

Ji Yun: What do you mean by strength? Take the enemy's failure as an example.

Ren Erli is very meticulous. He knows the weight of listening.

It is useless to use four or two forces skillfully.

If you ask what the reason is, the role of leverage.

When using digging force, we should pay attention to the following points:

(1) Generally, when using this method, you should draw first and then pick, which is the so-called stroke. Gently smooth, realistic adoption. Therefore, when drawing lead, generally draw until the other side will be out of the center of gravity, and then follow the trend.

(2) Take it from ten fingers, focusing on the fingers.

6. Power: it is a kind of power to push or pick. Can make the other person's body twist to lose weight. Force along the arc in the direction of the other party's output, so that the other party can't rotate independently and has to be lifted and thrown. Ji Yun: What can Jin Yi do? Spin like a flywheel.

Throw something on it and suddenly look out.

The torrent whirled and the waves rolled like lines.

The fallen leaves fell on it and suddenly sank.

When applying tension, the following points should be noted:

(1) When you are exhausted, you should follow up up and down, with your hands around your waist, step by step, so that your whole body strength is complete.

(2) Be agile, be near misses, that is, be "commensurate with your alarm".

(3) Strength needs to be found in the narrow side of the opponent's chassis. When it falls out, prevent it from catching it.

7. Elbow strength: Elbow people. "Elbow flexion", with elbow flexion close to the opponent's heart socket or other joint parts, strong enough, hitting people very hard, injuring opponents, use with caution.

Ji Yun: What does elbow force mean? Bend your arms with your bare hands.

Up and down or so, the actual situation should be distinguished.

If the chain keeps going, the flowering hammer will be more fierce.

After the integration of the six forces, it is of infinite use.

When using elbow strength, we should pay attention to the following points:

(1) Fists have long hands and elbows have short hands. "Elbow bending" is very easy to hurt people, so say, "Don't bend your elbow easily".

(2) Use elbow force to highlight the word "Chong" and quickly release strength.

8. By strength: the strength of hitting people by shoulders and back. The outward extrusion thrust that comes out after approaching the body by strength. Generally, when the other party pulls back with brute force, it can show its prestige in all directions by using it skillfully and appropriately.

Ji Yun: What is the solution based on strength and loyalty? Shoulder-back close-fitting use.

The inclined flying shoulder has a shoulder and a middle back.

Both inside and outside are reliable, and the momentum is thunderous.

Keep your center of gravity carefully. It's no use losing it.

Please pay attention to the following points when using the tilting force:

(1) Rely on force, mainly shoulder against chest, so it is called "shoulder against chest".

(2) Stress the word "collapse". Most of the strength should be close-fitting, so the strength should be stiff and lean outward with the force of collapse and explosion.

(2) Talk about five steps

The five steps of Tai Chi are advance, retreat, care, look and settle, that is, advance, retreat, look left, look right and settle. Most people think it is footwork, but it is actually beyond footwork. Some people think that forward and backward is footwork, left and right glance is footwork, and the middle position is posture. For the boxing ring, you can think like this. For pushers, advance, retreat, care, hope and determination must be combined with the eight methods in martial arts, so they should be included in the category of techniques. In Wushu, advance and retreat includes not only the advance and retreat of footsteps, but also the advance and retreat of body and elbow. Looking forward includes not only the eyes, but also the waist, legs and elbows. Centralization is the core of all technologies.

1, penetration: used in boxing stands, and it is required to walk lightly and calmly like a cat. Used to push hands, one is to move the center of gravity; The second is to cooperate with the eight methods to help.

2. Withdrawal: including both defensive and offensive aspects. Defense is used to introduce failure, such as stroke. This is active defense. Attack is used to attack while retreating, and fight when retreating, such as driving monkeys away.

3, left and right glance: used in boxing, the eyes are mainly focused on the direction of boxing, but also must take into account both sides of the body. The so-called "eyes lead the hand" and "eyes lead the body". Pay more attention to the following two points when pushing hands: First, look at each other's eyes and judge the direction of their movements through their eyes; The second is to look at both sides of yourself.

4. Zhong Ding: Pushing hands is the core of Tai Ji Chuan. When you push your hand, you should maintain your neutrality and destroy the neutrality of the other party. If we lose "China", we lose stability, which is the so-called "back". Standing pile is static balance, boxing ring is its own dynamic balance, and pushing hand is the dynamic balance under the interaction of both sides, which is more difficult than its own dynamic balance. The way to settle the dispute is: first, be calm and steady; Second, we must take the waist as the axis and change flexibly, so that the other party can't find my "middle" and "people don't know me, I know people alone" in order to be invincible.

The above has introduced the thirteen trends of Taiji to everyone, and it is necessary to make clear the eight methods and five steps in practicing boxing. When walking, you must follow Mr. Yang Chengfu's "Ten Essentials". When you get to the set position, check whether you can "prepare five bows for one body" and whether you have support in all aspects. After practicing the boxing frame, you must understand what strength each movement of boxing is made of, practice the overall strength in the frame, and fully understand your own strength before practicing pushing hands.

To practice Tai Chi pushing hands, you must follow the instructions left by the ancients.

As the saying goes: "You must be careful when rowing and squeezing, but it is difficult for people to follow you up and down." .

Let him hit me with great strength, which will affect me a lot.

If the introduction fails, it will come out, and if it persists, it will not fall off the top.

Ancestors have pointed out that if we want to practice pushing hands well, we should start with the four principles, pay attention to follow up from top to bottom, guide the situation according to the situation, suit people according to their needs, introduce failure with small strength and leverage, and oppose throwing, plaque, top and resistance. Gradually deepening, kung fu continues to rise. From familiarity to erudition, from erudition to God. You can gradually become a Tai Chi master. I wish you all the best here.
