What's the difference between ct and CT?
1. Tomography irradiates the patient's body with X-rays, rotates the X-ray source and detector around the patient, collects data from different angles, and finally reconstructs the cross-sectional image of the target area through calculation. Computed tomography also uses X-rays, but different from traditional tomography, CT scanning adopts a ring structure composed of multiple different X-ray beams and multiple detectors. Through the spiral scanning of patients, more slice images can be obtained and more detailed three-dimensional images can be generated.
2. Because tomography is an early imaging technology, its image resolution and accuracy are relatively low, and it needs multiple scans to obtain a complete image, and the imaging speed is also relatively slow. CT technology has obvious advantages in image reconstruction, resolution and speed. It can obtain clearer and finer images with faster scanning speed, which is helpful to reduce the radiation exposure of patients and shorten the scanning time.
