Brief introduction of Beijing Wind Orchestra
The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and the Beijing Federation of Trade Unions, as the competent government departments of the Beijing Wind Orchestra, have given great support and care to the construction and development of the orchestra. The magnificent Imperial Palace ancestral temple in Beijing is the golden hall of China and one of the main performance venues of Beijing Wind Orchestra. "Symphony popularization, combination of tradition and modernity" is the aim of the orchestra. The orchestra's repertoire includes classical and modern symphonies such as Mozart, Mendelssohn, dvorak, Berlioz, Debussy, Stravinsky, Gershwin, Major, Kinselli and Maslan Card. It also includes jazz, movie music and light music. Beijing Wind Symphony Orchestra has established extensive cooperative relations with famous musicians, composers, conductors and music organizations at home and abroad, and has been invited to hold concerts at home and around the world for many times. Beijing Wind Orchestra will make active efforts for the development of China Symphony.
