How to make mashed potatoes
Mashed potatoes are made as follows:
Potatoes are boiled in cold water with the skin on, I boiled them for 30 minutes and they can be easily pierced with chopsticks.
Press with a spoon in a mesh sieve to form a fine mashed potato.
Pour the mashed potatoes into a non-stick skillet, add enough cold butter (diced) that you just took out of the fridge, and heat over low heat.
Keep tossing with a spatula while heating over low heat until the butter is completely absorbed. Pour in the boiling milk and keep tossing. Grind in a little white pepper and mix well.
Finally, add a few chopped shallots and the delicious mashed potatoes are ready.
