In addition, it can also be used for machining and cutting the surface and inner hole of the rotating body. The milling machine fixes the blank and feeds it with a high-speed rotating milling cutter to cut out the required shape and features.
Lathe is a machine tool that mainly turns rotating workpieces with turning tools. On the lathe, drills, reamers, taps, threads, knurling, inner holes, dies and knurling tools can also be used for corresponding processing.
To put it simply, the difference between a milling machine and a lathe is that the workpiece does not move and the cutter moves. The workpiece does not move, but the tool moves. The lathe is moving, but the milling machine is not.
