When did the word "public security" first appear?
Public Security (English: Police or public security), maintaining public order is called public security, and police also includes the meaning of public security. A few countries in the world, including China, call it this way, and internationally it is generally called "police". There is no substantial difference between "police" and "public security", and there are various historical and practical factors leading to the parallel situation of the two names. The name "public security" appeared for the first time in the history of our party in February 1939. In order to distinguish the name from the police organs of the puppet regime, the Decision on the Establishment of the Ministry of Social Affairs issued by the Central Secretariat requires the establishment of public security bureaus or security offices in border areas and public security bureaus in counties.
