What are the dimensions and characteristics of blockboard?
Blockboard, commonly known as large core board, is made of two veneers glued together. The total thickness of glued veneer on both sides of blockboard shall not be less than 3 mm, and the width and length of corner defects of all kinds of blockboard shall not exceed 5mm in the nominal format. The medium plate is made of high-quality natural plate, which is processed into strips with certain specifications after heat treatment (that is, drying in a drying room) and spliced by a splicing machine. Cover two layers of high-quality veneer on both sides of the spliced wood board, and then glue it with a cold and hot press.
Size of joinery board: The size of joinery board is 2400X 1200mm, most of which are 1.5 thick, and some are 1.7 thick, but few people use it.
Thickness of joinery board: The common thickness of joinery board is 15mm, and there are four kinds: 12mm, 15mm, 17mm and 20 mm.. 15mm and 17mm are commonly used thicknesses, and different thicknesses will also lead to different prices.
Second, the characteristics of blockboard
Blockboard has the characteristics of good screw grip, high strength, firmness, sound absorption and heat insulation. And the water content is not high, ranging from10% to13%. It is easy to process and has the widest application. Wood board is more stable than solid wood board, but it is afraid of moisture, so attention should be paid to avoid using it in kitchen and bathroom during construction.
The processing technology of joinery board can be divided into machine splicing and manual splicing. Manual splicing is the manual insertion of wood strips into plywood. The batten has small extrusion pressure, uneven splicing, large gap and poor nail holding force, so it can't be sawed off. It is only suitable for partial decoration projects, such as making solid wood floor mats.
However, the machine splicing board has the advantages of large extrusion pressure, extremely small gap, flat splicing, uniform stress and compact structure, and is not easy to deform after long-term use. Brand-new automatic splicing machine, with strong and beautiful splicing, responds to the government's call of "replacing machines" and improves production efficiency and quality. Moreover, the splicing of the whole machine is more environment-friendly, the formaldehyde emission from one side area is lower, and the core material is stronger.
Different materials have different qualities. According to the quality of materials and the texture of surface materials, joinery boards are divided into "excellent products", "first-class products" and "qualified products". There are also enterprises that mark the plate grades as Grade A, Double Grade A and Triple Grade A, but this is only a corporate behavior and does not meet the national standards. At present, this kind of mark is not allowed in the market.
