In recent years, China's tourism development situation is good, and the theme of red tourism is more prominent. On July 2, 2002 1 July 21day, the Sunflower Service Team went to Huaiji to visit Huaiji Martyrs Cemetery and the former residence of Liang Martyrs.

Huaiji is a red hot land. Our first stop visited the Huaiji Martyrs Cemetery in Wulanshan, Tianhu Forest Farm in the northern suburb of Huaiji County. 1957 In April, in order to commemorate the heroic deeds of revolutionary martyrs and encourage the education of future generations, Huaiji County People's Government transformed Huajiang Park in the center of the original county into a martyrs cemetery, consisting of Huaiji Revolutionary Martyrs Monument, Memorial Square and Huaiji County Martyrs Memorial Hall. "Revolutionary Martyrs Monument" is located in the western foot of Wulan Mountain, sitting east to west, with dense pines and cypresses on both sides and pavilions and towers, which is solemn and solemn. 1995, Huaiji Revolutionary Martyrs Monument was designated as the moral education base of primary and secondary schools in the county by the county party committee and government, and 1998 was designated as the patriotic education base for training new generations. The exhibition area in the museum mainly focuses on the life stories of martyrs, exhibiting more than 200 pictures, more than 40 relics of martyrs and other revolutionary cultural relics. During the visit, we carefully read every story and understood their hard years. Seeing all kinds of instruments and crude weapons used by the martyrs, we can't help feeling that under such difficult conditions, our heroes still didn't give up the revolution and saved our motherland. After visiting Huaiji Martyrs Cemetery, we visited the former residence of Liang Martyrs under the leadership of the cadres of Yong 'an Community Neighborhood Committee in Huaicheng Street. Liang's former residence is located at No.25-27 East Lane, Hongqi Road, Yong 'an Neighborhood Committee, Huaiji County, Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province. On the way to the village where the former residence of Liang Martyrs is located, the roads in the village are wide and tidy, but there are no road signs about the former residence of Liang Martyrs along the way, which makes it very inconvenient for foreign tourists to visit the former residence. After many twists and turns, the sunflower service team was full of imagination before it arrived at Liang's former residence. However, the former residence environment in front of us temporarily lost our way. The former residence of the martyrs has not been well protected and repaired, and the overall situation of the house is dilapidated, with only a plaque on the outer wall. When you enter your former residence, you are not greeted by a clean and tidy house. The built-in environment of the house is messy, and the house is full of garbage, messy items and wild weeds, and there is no obvious red gene content.

After some visits, sunflower found that although Huaiji has a rich red tourist base, the local efforts to protect, develop and publicize it are not perfect, which leads to the low popularity of the local red base, less passenger flow and imperfect supporting facilities of the red tourist base, which cannot meet the basic needs of tourists. The local government should pay attention to the protection and publicity of Huaiji Red Base, and it is also our duty to protect the former residence of martyrs. The local government should take relevant measures to properly protect and repair the former residence without destroying the original appearance of the building. At the same time, according to the development plan of the red tourism base, we should constantly improve the relevant supporting infrastructure and actively carry out publicity work. Only when the propaganda work is in place can the local popularity be improved and more tourists be attracted to visit. Only in this way can the spirit of red culture be truly passed down and constantly inspire our young people from generation to generation.
