When will mulberry trees be pruned?

Question 1: What season is good for mulberry cutting?

1. In autumn, it is best to cut off the upper part of the new strip without a cork and with a wooden column. The mother branch should be young mulberry.

2. Cutting: select the middle and lower parts of robust branches and cut them into segments according to the length of 15 ~ 20cm. The buds on the upper part of the section should be full and disease-free, and the buds should be cut flat and sharp, and the lower part of the section should be slightly lower than the opposite direction of the buds. Smooth incision.

3. Soak with rooting agent if possible, the success rate is higher.

4. Insert the cuttings into the soil (just leave two buds on the ground), step on the soil after the cuttings, and keep the soil moist and germinate for 25~30 days after the cuttings.

Question 2: How to cut mulberry? First, put some water in the glass bottle, and then remove the mulberry branches. After the branches take root, they can be transplanted into the soil.

Question 3: When mulberry trees can be cut depends on the season when they germinate. Other times, I don't know. Generally, trees can't be cut down and cultivated. The method is simple and the survival rate is high. The main technical measures are as follows: (1) Branch selection: when cutting mulberry branches from winter to around, select thick branches that grow in that year, are free from pests and diseases, and are full of mulberry bud. Then take the middle and lower parts for seed storage. This can make the buds sprout quickly, healthily and neatly after cutting, and it is not easy to dry up. (2) Cutting: Cut the branches with seeds into each section 17-20cm, and about 3-4 buds are cuttings. The upper bud of the cutting should be full, and the upper and lower ends should be cut at a distance of 10- 15cm from the bud. Cuttings should be smooth, the bark of branches should not be broken, and the large and small cuttings should be placed separately. (3) Preservation method: After cutting, the cuttings should be properly kept. When storing, the cuttings should be separated from the head and tail, tied into small bundles, erected in a cool, leeward, damp and sand-stagnant place, or placed in the shade of a tree, covered with fine sand or straw, and checked frequently to prevent the cuttings from drying up or stagnant water from becoming moldy. (4) Timely transplanting: It is best to transplant before and after the severe cold. If the weather is dry too early, it is easy to survive if you are often drenched with water. If it is too late, the cuttings will germinate and the new buds will be easily broken and damaged. When sowing, firstly insert planting holes in the planting ditch with bamboo sticks according to the predetermined planting distance, and then insert the cuttings into the holes, exposing the ground for about 3 cm. If the cuttings are found to have fine roots during sowing, they should be carefully protected to prevent breakage and damage. After planting, compact the soil near the cuttings, and then spray water to make the cuttings closely combined with the soil to facilitate water absorption. At the initial stage of cutting, the root system grew badly, with weak drought resistance and slow growth. Pay attention to keep the soil moist and prevent it from drying. Rainy days are slow, pay attention to keep the soil moist to prevent dryness. Moisture should be removed in rainy days to avoid mildew and damage.

Question 4: Can mulberry trees be cut down? Of course, mulberry trees are generally propagated by cutting. The specific method is to select materials:

4. Insert the cuttings into the soil (just leave two buds on the ground), step on the soil after the cuttings, and pay attention to keep the soil moist.

Germinate after 25-30 days.

Question 5: Can mulberry cuttings live? Mulberry trees have roots and live well, but rootless cuttings live well. Mulberry cutting can be divided into hard branch cutting and green branch cutting. Hard branch cutting adopts cork annual branches; Green branch cutting adopts new shoots. (1) Hardwood cutting period: the cuttings are collected before mulberry germination and stored at low temperature, and the mulberry is cut after germination in the field. In Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, spring sowing is generally in March and April, summer sowing is in May and June, and autumn sowing is in late August to early June of 10. Collection and treatment of cuttings: the collection of cuttings is the same as that of cuttings. Soak the cuttings 1-2 days before cutting. Cutting: When cutting, cut the branches into 15-20cm long segments. The upper end of each cutting ear should have a complete winter bud, and the lower end should be cut into an inclined plane near the leaf scar. Pre-cutting measures: Sichuan mulberry, Hainan mulberry and other easily rooted varieties do not need pre-cutting. Mulberry varieties that are not easy to take root should be pretreated and generally soaked with rooting agent. Cutting treatment: the cutting is placed obliquely at the edge of the pre-dug cutting ditch, and the terminal bud is exposed on the ground. The soil should be kept moist after cutting. It can also be covered with plastic film for heat preservation and moisture retention. First, punch holes in the plastic film according to the row spacing and plant spacing, and then vertically insert 2/3 of the inserting treaty from the holes. Post-cutting management: keep the soil moist at all times, pay attention to loosening the soil and weeding to prevent the bed board from hardening. (2) Green branch cutting is also called new shoot cutting. Cutting period: it is carried out when the silkworm is 5 years old. The nutrition bowl can be made of plastic film into a barrel-shaped nutrition bowl based on yellow sand. Seedbed: Choose a place with high terrain, flat terrain, abundant sunshine and close to water source, bed width 1.2m ... Cutting: Cutting from the base of new shoots, paying attention to the swollen heel part to facilitate healing and rooting. Cut off the tip of the new shoot before cutting, and the cutting length is about 15 cm. Leave half a piece of mulberry leaves at the top, cut at both ends of the base and reach the xylem directly. Cutting: insert the cutting into the seedbed in the morning or evening with a depth of 4-5 cm. Management: Cover with plastic film shed for moisturizing, and cover with curtain for shading. Spray water every day to replenish water. The temperature in the shed is kept at 28-32℃ to avoid high temperature above 35℃, and it takes about 25 days to take root and sprout. When the new shoots grow to 7- 10 cm, remove the plastic film shed, and after a period of time, they can no longer shade. Cultivate and manage the seedlings after survival. Do a good job in irrigation and drainage, loosening soil, fertilizing and pest control.

Question 6: How long does it take for cuttage mulberry trees to take root? This time can't be defined, which has a lot to do with everyone's maintenance and management. Generally more than 20 days

Question 7: How long does the mulberry cuttings bear fruit? It depends on the temperature and environment. Water is abundant between 25 and 30 degrees, and it takes 20 days to a month to take root. If it is not satisfied, it may be slow, and the most serious may lead to death.

Question 8: Can mulberries be cut alive in July? Can you cut buds in summer? Hard branches are cut off in spring.

Mulberry softwood cutting

● Selection of cuttings and mother trees Select the new branches or tender branches sprouted by excellent mulberry mother trees in the same year as cuttings.

● The cutting time is from the middle and late May to the middle of 10.

● Cutting specifications and treatment: the length of cutting is 15-20cm, and each cutting has 3-4 buds. Cut off the middle and lower leaves of the cuttings and keep 1/3 of the upper leaves. The upper incision is made at a distance of 1- 1.5 cm, and the lower incision is made at the base of the middle stalk of the last bud, and the incision should be smooth.

Cutting of Mulberry Hard Branches (Dormancy Branches)

● Selection of cuttings and mother trees: 1-3-year-old branches, few leaves, good soil fertility, full axillary buds, 0.5- 1.5 cm in diameter, no pests and diseases, and stout branches as cuttings.

● Leaf-cutting time: Leaf-cutting in winter: When the mulberry leaves are yellow and do not fall, after being stored in sand at low temperature, the roots will be cut in the first half of March. Spring cutting: cut in late February, let the branches cut on the same day be treated and cut on the same day.

● Cutting specification and treatment: take the collected lower 2-3 segments of mulberry branches as cutting. Cuttings are about 1.5cm long, leaving 3-4 buds. The lower end of the cutting is cut flat at the leaf scar at the base of the leaf bud, and the upper end of the cutting is cut flat at a distance of 1- 1.5cm from the bud, and the incision should be smooth.

Cutting in winter

After cutting, the cuttings were first treated with ABT rooting powder solution and then stored in wet sand layer by layer at low temperature (0-5℃) for 40-50 days. Covered with plastic film, the roots were cut off in mid-February.

Spring cutting

After cutting, bind the cuttings into a bundle of 30-50 plants, and then soak the base in 50-1oopppm ABT or GGR solution for more than 2 hours with a depth of 2-6 cm.

Question 9: Can mulberry trees be directly inserted? Yes, remember to stick the branches in the wet soil. The branches you choose must have buds or no leaves.

Question 10: What is the possibility that mulberry cuttings can survive easily? Our hometown has been raising silkworms for many years, all of which are cuttings, and the survival rate is 95%. But it has to be cut off every year to promote new buds, so the leaves are big and tender, which is good for feeding silkworms and convenient for picking.
