As one of the series of activities of "Going to the Forbidden City in Shenyang for the New Year", couplets and door gods of the Forbidden City in Shenyang were exhibited and opened to tourists on the day of off-year. The exhibition of couplets and door gods is a series of Spring Festival activities continuously launched by Shenyang Forbidden City in recent years, aiming at promoting folk customs and returning to traditional culture. This time, more than 30 door gods and couplets were hung, mainly at the main palace gates in the scenic area, showing the new look of Shenyang Forbidden City in the New Year.

According to experts' research, from the 25th year of Qing Emperor Kangxi, door gods and couplets have been hung in Shenyang Palace Museum during the Spring Festival, and this custom has not changed. There are three kinds of door gods in the palace, one is the door gods of military commanders, the other is the door gods of judges and the other is the door gods of civil servants. In the off-year every year, the gatekeeper hangs on the palace gate or the palace gate and retreats on the fifteenth day of the first month. The palace is mostly the keeper of hanging military commanders. The main purpose is to ward off evil spirits and prevent beasts and ghosts from entering.

In addition, during the Spring Festival this year, Shenyang Forbidden City also launched the "Joint Exhibition of Qing Dynasty Gatekeepers and Couplets", and * * * exhibited some famous Qing Dynasty couplets and 14 pairs of Qing Dynasty gatekeepers.
