What are the three famous brocade of China silk?

The three famous brocade in China are Yunjin, Jin Shu and Jin Song, which are outstanding representatives of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.

Yunjin, which originated in Nanjing, can be traced back to the Song Dynasty. It is named for its bright colors and looks like clouds in the sky. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Yunjin was a tribute to the royal family in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, and it was the first of the three famous brocade in China. Known by experts as the last milestone in the history of China ancient brocade technology, it is the most precious historical and cultural heritage of the Chinese nation and even the whole world. In 2006, Yunjin was included in the first list of intangible cultural heritage in China, and in September 2009, it was successfully selected into the United Nations representative list of intangible cultural heritage of mankind. The inheritance unit is Nanjing Yunjin Research Institute.

Shu brocade, named after its production in Sichuan, has a long history, exquisite craftsmanship and gorgeous patterns. Chengdu's "Jinguan City" was named after Qin and Han Dynasties, and almost all brocade products from Qin and Han Dynasties to Sui and Tang Dynasties were Shu brocade. Shu brocade is one of the main commodities of the Silk Road and the predecessor of the brocade of Kyoto West Station, a traditional Japanese national treasure handicraft. In 2006, Shu brocade weaving technology was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. The inheritor is Chengdu Jin Shu Weaving and Embroidery Museum.

Jin Song, a native of Suzhou, developed on the basis of Jin Shu in the Tang Dynasty. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the imperial court set up the "Ling Jin Academy" in Tokyo, and recruited many Jin Shu weavers to make dresses for the nobles, thus forming the Jin Song. Song brocade has bright colors, exquisite patterns and rigid and soft texture. Its products are divided into large brocade, small brocade and ribbon. Dajin is also called "antique brocade". In 2006, Jin Song was included in the first national intangible cultural heritage list. The inheritor is Suzhou Silk Museum.
