The representative food of Halloween
Halloween foods include pumpkin pie, apples, candy, beef and mutton, baked pumpkin seeds, corn candy and so on.
1. Sugar. "Trick or treat", the most classic Halloween candy is packed in orange, brown and black, and the shape is mostly ghosts. However, the original face of this tradition has nothing to do with candy.
2. Bake pumpkin seeds. Perhaps this is the only non-sweet snack in the traditional western Halloween. Salty taste, slightly nutty taste, westerners often like it. They like to drink it with American Millbrook brand Du Jia wine. This wine often has the aroma of tropical fruits, which fills the tip of the nose, but when it enters the mouth, the aroma will change into the taste of peaches and almonds. More interestingly, the Hudson Valley, where this wine is produced, is near the famous "Headless Valley" and the famous "Headless Horseman" in the United States.
3. Corn candy. Corn candy is an ancient dessert of Han nationality, and its making method is relatively old, so it is impossible to find out when it originated. According to "Qi Min Yao Shu" and Ho Choi's "Shi Jing", the preparation method is simpler. Just cook the millet into rice, mix it with malt, put it in a container for one night to get juice, and fry it until it is thick.
4. Pumpkin. Pumpkin pie is the most common food in early winter in the southern United States, but it is only more appropriate at Halloween. In addition to pumpkin pie, pumpkin seeds are also common snacks in festivals.
5. In addition to Halloween, Apple November 1st is also an important festival in ancient Rome, called Pomona Festival. Pomona is the "god of fruit trees", in charge of the life and death, harvest and failure of all fruit trees. After the Roman occupation of Celtic, Pomona Festival and the New Year were also integrated, forming the custom of eating apples on Halloween.
