Mao Nanhai, a native of Pingxiang, was born into a family of martial arts and attended Jiangxi Higher School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since Mao Nanhai already had the foundation of Taijiquan---Taijiquan Loose Kung Fu, he finally realized the whole set of Mao's Taijiquan after ten years of day-to-day practice, bearing in mind the essence of Taijiquan: "When the foot enters the actual door and he gets into the ground, even the divine hand is hard to prevent" and his father's teaching. When he was still in high school, Mao Nanhai opened a school to teach his ancestral taijiquan to the public, so that he could not only earn tuition fees for himself, but also contribute to the development of folk martial arts. Afterwards, his fame gradually spread, and he was even received by the county leaders. With the dream of spreading the idea of martial arts, Mao Nanhai walked into the university.
What he wanted to do with his life: let the world know the essence of taijiquan
After coming to Fuzhou to study, Mao Nanhai closed his martial arts school and put his mind on his chosen medical specialty. In his spare time, he often read books on martial arts, and after some thinking, Mao Nanhai made a decision to compile the "Mao's Taijiquan Genealogy", so that more people can understand the mystery of Taijiquan. After that, except for the time for classes, he devoted himself to the compilation of the manual. He has realized the motto of "cultivate virtue through martial arts, and practice martial arts with virtue".
Mao Nanhai, who is quite proficient in martial arts, hopes to "open three pavilions": a medical pavilion, a teahouse, and a martial arts pavilion, and hopes that more people can share the fun of taijiquan with him, and dedicate themselves to the inheritance and development of traditional martial arts.
