Is it pseudoscience that artificial intelligence can mimic the human mind through deep learning

The part of artificial intelligence (AI) that mimics human thinking through deep learning is science, not pseudoscience. However, this does not mean that AI can completely, or in all respects, mimic human thinking. At least for now, AI is not at that level.

Deep learning is an artificial intelligence technique based on a branch of neural networks, specifically deep neural networks. By using large amounts of data and powerful computational capabilities, deep learning is able to learn complex patterns and representations. This makes it perform amazingly well on many tasks such as image recognition, speech recognition, and natural language processing.

However, even the most advanced deep learning models can't fully mimic the human mind. Human thinking is complex, involving multiple aspects such as consciousness, perception, emotion, logic, memory, creativity, and intuition. And existing AI technologies, including deep learning, cannot fully capture these complexities.

In addition, AI's decision-making process is usually based on data and pre-defined algorithms, while human thinking is often based on our experience, knowledge, emotions, values, and many other factors. This means that AI and human thinking are fundamentally different.

So, saying that AI can completely mimic human thinking through deep learning may be seen as an exaggeration or a misunderstanding. However, this does not mean that deep learning and AI are pseudosciences in themselves. They are actual science and technology based on fields such as math, statistics, and computer science.
