What is the difference between debridement and escharectomy?

The differences between these two operations are as follows:

1. Enlargement comes from debridement. Debridement is a common method of surgical operation, mainly to remove foreign bodies, dirt and necrotic tissue in the wound, especially when there is serious pollution, which will lead to wound nonunion and secondary infection.

2. Scab removal is a method to completely remove the burned and necrotic tissue with a drum-type peeling knife, so as to maximize the preservation of viable epithelial cells or normal adipose tissue. Scab removal is mainly used for deep second-degree burns, mixed burns and third-degree burns.
