1995, after graduating from an art school, Ling Hua returned to his hometown of Erdos and became an electrical appliance salesman. 1997, Ling Hua persuaded his parents to go to Shenzhen alone to find a suitable platform. Phoenix Legend's predecessor was Cool Fire Group, which was established in September 1997.

1998, Ceng Yi gave up his regular job and went to a friend who opened a golden age dance hall in Shenzhen. At the end of the year, he went to Ling Hua, the window of the world folk village and other literary and art groups, and applied for a job in the golden age dance hall. As a result, he was admitted as a contracted artist, and became a colleague with Ceng Yi, the music director of the dance hall at that time. They formed a singing group.

Out of their love for the Korean group Kulong, they decided to name the group Kuhuo, which became the pillar of the performing arts center. The four-hour performance of the Golden Age Performing Arts Center every night, arranged and directed by Ceng Yi, has also become a signboard in the Shenzhen performance market.
