Introducing Traditional Hanbok in English
Hanbok (Korea) or Chos? N-ot (North Korea) is a traditional costume of North Korea. It is usually characterized by bright colors and simple lines without pockets. Although the word literally means "Korean clothing", today's hanbok usually refers to the hanbok of the Korean dynasty and is worn as a semi-formal or formal costume in traditional festivals and celebrations. Modern Hanbok does not completely follow the actual style of the Korean dynasty, because it experienced some major changes in the 20th century for practical reasons.
