I know the traditional festivals.

There are many traditional festivals in China, such as Spring Festival, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Valentine's Day in China, Mid-Autumn Festival, Double Ninth Festival and so on.

? In so many traditional festivals, I learned some of them, such as:

? Spring Festival, commonly known as "Chinese New Year", is the oldest, most lively and most traditional festival in China. At this time of year, red lanterns, colorful flags and lanterns are hung on the streets, which is very lively. People are busy buying new year's goods, eating New Year's Eve, visiting relatives and friends, and sending blessings to each other. The most important thing is for the family to get together and welcome the New Year happily. In this festival, our children are the happiest, because we can wear new clothes, set off firecrackers and have lucky money … if only we could celebrate the New Year every day.

? Every year on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, people eat zongzi, which seems to be a symbol of the Dragon Boat Festival. There is another allusion. More than two thousand years ago, there was a patriotic poet Qu Yuan in Chu State, who was deeply saddened by the country's demise. He was indomitable and committed suicide by jumping into the river. People are afraid that the fish in the river won't eat Qu Yuan's body, so they wrap delicious things like rice and meat in zongzi leaves and throw them into the river in the hope that they won't eat him. In this way, people designated this day as "Dragon Boat Festival", and every family ate zongzi to commemorate Qu Yuan's loyalty and patriotism to the monarch.

August 15th of the lunar calendar is the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, and different places have different customs, such as enjoying the moon, eating moon cakes, offering sacrifices to the moon, Yue Bai, dragon dancing and sky lanterns. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, the moon is rounder and brighter than at other times. The full moon is also a symbol of reunion. How happy it is for a family to enjoy the moon and eat moon cakes together! Wanderers who are far away from home rely on this full moon to pin their homesickness. There are also different legends and fairy tales about Mid-Autumn Festival. Among them, there is the story of the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon, Zhu Yuanzhang's moon cake uprising and Tang's visit to the Moon Palace. Of course, the goddess the Goddess Chang'e flying to the moon is the most familiar person, saying that she ate the elixir and flew to the Moon Palace, which is a lonely place. There is nothing but a tree and a rabbit.

? There are so many traditional festivals in China that I can't understand them at the moment. These are some festivals I know. Thank you!
