What food do Ghanaians like to eat?
1.Fufufufu is a traditional staple food in West Africa. It is mainly made of cassava, yam, banana, rice and other starch-rich plants in a huge wooden mortar or bowl, and then heated to eat.
2.KENKEY this is a fermented corn flour, mixed with corn kernels, wrapped in corn leaves and heated for consumption. Another common way to eat in central and western Ghana is to wrap banana leaves to make hot cooked food. This way of eating is called FANTI KENKEY. KENKEY can be kept for up to a week. You can also make porridge like cereal.
3.Banku/Akple "banku" is made by mixing fermented corn flour and cassava flour, boiling in hot water until white, and fully mixing to form dough. Serve with soup, meat or fish.
