The History and Culture of Eight Scenes in Wuchuan
Wuchuan city's floating colors, clay sculptures and flower bridges are known as "the three wonders of Wuchuan". Wuchuan clay sculpture was selected as the "Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage List" in 2007, and Wuchuan Piaose was selected as the "National Intangible Cultural Heritage List" in 2008. Wuchuan is full of talented people, including poets, literati and people with lofty ideals. For example, Jin Shihe in the Song Dynasty, Lin Zhaotang, the only champion in western Guangdong, Chen Lanbin, the first ambassador of China to the United States, Li, a poet in the Qing Dynasty, Pang Xiong, one of the 72 martyrs in Huanghuagang, Zhang Yan, a patriotic general, and Li Hanhun, chairman of Guangdong Province of the National Government. After liberation, there were China people and former Vice Foreign Minister Liu Huaqiu.
The Eight Scenes of Wuchuan generally refer to the "Eight Scenes of Wuchuan Ancient", and now many scenic spots have disappeared, or only ruins are left.
