Traditional belief and scientific view
Religion is a historical phenomenon that human society has developed to a certain stage. It is neither permanent nor eternal, but a process of occurrence, development and extinction.
Religion and superstition have certain connections and many similarities. But superstition is not religion, and there is a strict difference between them. Religion has a relatively complete world outlook and religious canon system, its own organizational structure and relatively standardized activities. Religion and superstition have different purposes and social functions.
College students must make clear the difference between science and religion. Science is materialistic and religion is idealistic. Science and religion are antagonistic and irreconcilable. Since the birth of science, the value of "God" has disappeared. But in the minds of some western scientists, science and value are really separated, with both religious world outlook and scientific system. Due to the constraints of subjective and objective conditions, some scientists can't explain the unknown areas that they can't understand for the time being, and may believe in supernatural forces, which will often be attributed to "God" in the end. Great scientists such as Newton and Einstein, because they can't explain some mysterious things, finally feel that this is the power of "God".
The objects of religious belief and worship are imaginary things and do not exist objectively. As an ideology, religion is a reflection of the distortion and inversion of the objective world in people's minds. This is idealistic and unscientific. It is an idealistic ideology that is fundamentally opposed to science and materialism, and it is a backward and negative ideology. Marxism believes that with the development of social productive forces, the progress of civilization and the improvement of people's ideological consciousness, the basis and conditions for the existence of religion will gradually decrease and eventually die out, but this will be a very long process.
Hostile forces use religious issues to encourage national separatism at home and abroad, undermine national unity and split the reunification of the motherland, which fundamentally endangers national political stability and poses a potential threat to national political security. As college students in the new era, we should improve our ideological understanding, recognize the true face of hostile forces abroad, resolutely resist all kinds of infiltration and sabotage activities, and make positive contributions to the prosperity of the country.
As college students, it is directly related to the reunification of the motherland, national unity and the fundamental interests of people of all ethnic groups, as well as to the long-term stability and future development of the country. We should adhere to scientific atheism, correctly understand religion, consciously abide by the fact that college students are not religious, prohibit the spread of religion in schools, improve our ability to resist the infiltration of hostile forces at home and abroad by using religion, and consciously safeguard national unity, national unity and social stability. This is the unshirkable glorious obligation and great responsibility of today's college students.
