Shanghai martial arts master Li Chongwen life.
From a young age, Qiu Bisong studied under the Shanghai martial arts master Li Chongwen, learning Chajuan, Shaolin Quan, Tuanzimen, Hongquanmen, Puguilianhuanyuanmen, and a variety of instruments, sparring and wrestling.
Through the "Story of Yue Quanzhuan", the teenager Qiu Bisong Yue Fei as an idol, there is a "martial arts feelings" to protect the country - not far from his home in Pingliang Park, he saw Li Chongwen teacher in the teaching of boxing, Qiu Bisong heart moved. In the parents to apply for 2 yuan per month to learn boxing fees were rejected, Qiu Bisong decided to "go it alone": their pocket money to save, used to pay for boxing fees. The matter of learning boxing privately was later known by the parents, considering the homework did not slip, the parents later took the initiative to pay for the boxing fees for Qiu Bisong.
Qiu Bisong recalled that Mr. Li Chongwen taught boxing for the show, practical also, but only in a secondary position. "The main thing is to learn the routine, but then how to use, but it is a process. If no one teaches this 'use' word, then it is almost impossible to achieve 'real style'. Mr. Li Chongwen would occasionally say something about 'use'. In Pingliang Park, he instructed me in wrestling - there is a saying in martial arts circles that 'three years of boxing is not as good as wrestling in the same year'."
In 1962, in Labor Park, Qiu Bisong had his first experience of the extraordinary nature of "use" -- "In a program of martial arts sparring between brothers and sisters, it was my turn to wrestle with my senior brother, Wang Ziliang. At that time, Wang Ziliang was already famous in Yangpu. He was a strong man with an ugly face, so at first glance, he seemed to be very aggressive. Before the performance, he and I had rehearsals and agreed that he would wrestle me twice, I would wrestle him once, and he would be allowed to tie the stage. But when it came to the official performance, the audience was so large that his performance was not as smooth as in the rehearsal. I don't know what happened, but he fell on the first fall, and on the second fall, he fell again. I was in a hurry! On the third fall, I had to think of a way to get myself down anyway. It turned out that he was still a bit emotional because of that - of course, he might not be above me if he had to fall for real."
The late 1980s and early 1990s, the Shanghai martial arts community set off a wave of restoration of the establishment of martial arts associations, Li Chongwen created in 1935, Hudong Wushu Research Association, and later renamed the Shanghai Chongwen Wushu Association, Li Chongwen himself did not act as a hand, and did not recommend that his youngest son, Li Genrong, to be a hand, but to let the Qiu Bisong to be a hand, which is unique in the Shanghai martial arts community at that time. unique."
In Beijing for 13 years, he inherited a systematic mastery of Tongbei
Graduating from the Shanghai Mechanical College (now the Shanghai Institute of Technology) in 1965, Qiu Bisong was assigned to work at the First Design Institute of the Ministry of First Machine Tools in Beijing until he was transferred back to Shanghai in 1978.
Qiu Bisong, a keen martial arts practitioner, remembered the time when he first came to the capital to find a teacher: when he was at work, he did engineering design, and then went to various parks in the morning and after work every day - finally, he was attracted by Yang Qishun's superb White Ape Tongbei Quan skills. Later, he learned that Yang Qishun was the most systematic and comprehensive successor of the White Ape Tongbei Sect in Beijing and even in the whole northern region. In the 13 years of working in Beijing, Qiu Bisong worshiped Yang Qishun as his master, and because he was single in Beijing without a wife and children, he lived and ate at Yang Qishun's house for a long time, and his love for his master and disciple was deep. Through hard and outstanding efforts, Qiu Bisong got the true transmission of Mr. Yang, and systematically inherited all the techniques of White Ape Tongbei.
Remembering his martial arts experience in the capital, Qiu Bisong said he had been blessed by being with Mr. Yang's son, Yang Fu, for many years. "At first he was not interested in the old master's stuff, then he saw that I had been practicing at his home, he also slowly became interested, so the old master taught our brother and sister systematically, and did not allow us to practice what we had learned at home in his field outside. When I learned, I brought in my own work habits - taking notes - and after years and years, there was a systematic accumulation of words."
Qiu Bisong said: "I have been in Beijing for 13 years, what I have learned, but also recognized by many people. in the second half of 2010, the white ape through the back in the declaration of the Beijing Municipal Intangible Cultural Heritage, after filling in the heir, the need for relevant information, masters and brothers know that the old masters of those who are the heir to the landmark of the precious information are in my place. "
Spiritual hall to pay homage to the master, Shencheng martial arts to stay famous
Shanghai martial arts in the 1980s, there is a period of "spiritual hall to pay homage to the master" of the beautiful story!
Ji Jingshan, who is also a famous martial artist in Shanghai, and Li Chongwen are siblings - Qiu Bisong, who was transferred back to Shanghai from Beijing, went to visit Ji Jingshan with his teacher Li Chongwen. Qiu Bisong recalled: "I remember that Mr. Ji Jinshan had a birthday, and Mr. Li Chongwen took me to wish him a happy birthday. When I left, he asked me to go to his house next time to play, and then I made two trips and had a good talk with Mr. Ji Jinshan."
"Later, under the strong recommendation of Mr. Li, Mr. Ji, and Mr. Li's righteous brother, Mr. Xu Wenzhong, I was absorbed into the Shanghai Wushu Association's Wushu Counseling Group, and I often met and deliberated with Mr. Ji, so I had more chances to come into contact with each other, and I had a better impression of each other."
In the early 1980s, when the Chinese martial arts were in full swing, there were many people looking for Li Chongwen and Ji Jinsan, and many who sought to learn from them. JI Jinsan then told Li Chongwen that he hoped to find a student who was somewhat educated and willing to practice, such as Qiu Bisong. Later, when Ji Jinshan passed away, in order to satisfy his wish, under the authorization of Mr. Li Chongwen, Qiu Bisong went to perform the ritual of "worshiping the master in the spiritual hall"!
After that, after Qiu Bisong pen revision, Ji Jinshan compiled "air invisible hold method (bed eight brocade)" article, was included in the 1990 People's Sports Press published "Chinese traditional fitness art" book.
It is worth mentioning that, still because of Mr. Li Chongwen's relationship, Qiu Bisong also learned Xingyi and Xingyimen techniques from Mr. Xu Wenzhong.
Development of the problem 10-year-old grandson did not have time
Qiu Bisong has a senior title, long-term employment in the field of engineering design - "there is a degree, always a little bit of achievement, that's all". After the transfer to the management position until retirement, and then later rehired by the unit. 65-year-old Qiu Bisong, finally won the free body, have time to do something they like to do - will be the white ape through the back of the fist to carry forward the development of the great.
White Ape Tongbei Sect is an ancient martial arts sect, as the Cold War era of defense of the country's stunts, the choice of disciples rigorous, coupled with the core idea of its y influenced by Taoism, the wonders of which is still little known. The word "Tongbei" in the name is a requirement for practice. White Ape Tongbei Quan is characterized by the word "use", and is concerned with technical combat, which is supported by a rich and complete martial arts theory. The style is definitely not as beautiful as some of the boxing routines.
What is the level of Qiu Bisong? Yang Qishun's son, Yang Fu, once said this: "Qiu Bisong learned the most, the most complete. He practiced the most like my father"; Yang Qishun's son-in-law, Fang Zesheng, said, "Now that the old man is gone, only Qiu Bisong can take over his class."
More illustrative: Qiu Bisong's student Shen Tiansen was runner-up in the 56-kilogram class of Shanghai's first sparring match in 1982; Qiu Bisong's other student, Yan Guoxing, executive vice president and secretary-general of the Hangzhou Wushu Association, said in an article that he had "gained a lot of strength" after studying with Shanghai's Qiu Bisong, winning several 75-kilogram awards from 1982 onward. Since 1982, he has won several 75-kilogram Zhejiang Province and national championships in push hands and sparring, and has defeated visiting Japanese martial arts masters.
Additionally, Qiu Bisong, based on Mr. Yang's teachings, combined with his knowledge of mechanics from his science and engineering background, wrote a thesis on how to be "powerful" and "skillful" with strength, which was published in Shanghai Wushu in the early 1990s. In terms of fitness, Qiu Bisong, recommended by the Shanghai Wushu Academy, was invited by Shanghai People's Broadcasting Station to do a radio program on the fitness of White Ape Tongbei Quan in 1995.
In early April 2010, Qiu Bisong and his wife traveled to Beijing to visit the grave of Mr. Yang Qishun, and then in October, a graduate of the Harvard University of Technology in the door of the back of a brother twice suggested that Qiu Bisong to write a book, but Qiu Bisong is full of contradictions in his heart, the outside world of the book is flooded, how to write this book does not go against the original intention of their own art in Beijing?
As the 20th-generation heir to the White Ape Tongbei school, Qiu Bisong has brought White Ape Tongbei Quan from Beijing to Shanghai for more than 30 years. How to master the ancient treasure to the next generation, is becoming Qiu Bisong more and more urgent thinking about the problem - "as an important carrier of traditional Chinese culture, Chinese martial arts of course, there is a need to pass on! For example, the White Ape Tongbei Quan, if I do not pass these things down, directly into the coffin, that is a 'crime'!"
In Qiu Bisong's opinion, it is ideal to teach children around 10 years old to practise boxing - "but where do the children have the free time? My grandson is 10 years old, asked him if he wanted to learn boxing, said yes. But time and schedule can not come over, heavy school ah ......"
Today's Qiu Bisong, hired as a consultant in Taicang City, Jiangsu Wushu Association, four to five days a week was invited to Taicang, Jiangsu Province, to teach martial arts. Happily, the four local students have made great progress in more than a year of study. Qiu Bisong believes that practicing kung fu is actually a skilled work - "as long as you really practice and practice more according to the requirements, you will improve."
"To make the White Ape Tongbei stand up in Shanghai!"
"To make the White Ape Tongbei stand up in Shanghai!" -- These are the words that Mr. Yang Qishun used to wish for Qiu Bisong during his lifetime. In fact, the white ape has been standing in Shanghai for many years. Little is known to the outside world, only because the martial artist Qiu Bisong is an "amateur".
