Luo Opera, also known as Opera, Dida Opera and Louro Tou, is popular in Feixiang, Guangping, Quzhou and other counties in southern Hebei.

Luo opera originated from string songs, and it is in the same strain as opera and drama. It is not known when this genre of opera was formed.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Liang Laozao, a Luo opera artist in Dajin Village, Feixiang County, performed once in this village. In addition to the villagers, there are also young people from neighboring villages. Before War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, this class was active in southern Hebei, western Shandong and northern Henan, but it was dissolved because of the war. Liang Laozao's famous disciples are Chang Qi, Lang Fangduo, Han Yutian, Han Jinhai, Xiang Yueming, Li, Han Jincheng, Liu Jinbang and Zhao Fu. After Liang Laozao's class broke up, Chang Qi, an artist of this class, became a beggar and wandered in Fanxian County, Shandong Province. From 32 years (1943) to 36 years, Chang Qi taught a class of opera in Yangji Village, Fan County. 1936 Chang Qi led the class to perform in Feixiang. At the end of the same year, I often went back to my hometown (Dajin Village, Feixiang Town) to teach again in the village. Later, Luo Opera Troupes were often set up in Xiaoyizhuang in Feixiang County and Luying in Quzhou County respectively. Here, Chang Qi's younger brother Li also opened a drama class in Xiaojin Village.

Traditional operas mainly sing folk songs and cards, among which "teasing children" has the highest usage rate. Others, such as Goat, Sweet six niang, Soap Robe, Cauliflower Flower, Sifangjing, Zanzi, Tone, Crashing Golden Admiralty and Moth, are also commonly used Qupai vocals. When singing, men and women are in the same tune, using only the real voice, not the falsetto.

The accompaniment instruments of Luoxi Opera include big suona (two), small suona (one), sheng (one big, one medium and one small), big three-stringed instrument (one), horizontal flute (one in Qu Di) and sharp horn (pick one load); There are flat drums, big drums, small drums (war drums), ebony boards, big gongs, cymbals, bangzi, hand gongs, Su gongs, cymbals and chimes. Accompanying music cards include Holding the Spirit Card, Three Guns, Dianjiang Lip and Shui Long Yin.

There are about 120 traditional operas of Luo Opera, and about 30 frequently performed operas, mostly historical dramas. Such as Li Yuan's anti-annexation of the North, Zheng Bei's visit to Liu Bowen's general, Fenshui, Jin Fengchai, Wukong's fighting dragon pony, Baodingfu, Guo, Zheng of Geng Yan, Hai Rui's search for the palace, and his anti-Nanjing. Dramas reflecting folk life include Borrowing Daughter and Laying Down the Burden.

The business of Luo opera is divided into longevity, Dan, cleanliness and ugliness. There are old students and primary school students; Dan (Baotou) has Lao Dan, Qingyi and Xiao Dan; There are big painted faces and two painted faces, and the two painted faces are just painted faces; Ugliness is also called three sides. Its performance has a strong local flavor and pays attention to procedures, but it is quite different from local operas such as Beijing Opera, such as "gouging out feet", "kicking feet" and "throwing heads", which is exaggerated and close to the folk performance "social fire".
