China traditional culture has a long history.

(1) The history of the Chinese nation is rich in patriotic morality and ideological wealth. The correct attitude towards these ideological treasures is not to accept them completely, but to analyze, absorb and critically inherit them.

(2) Socialism with Chinese characteristics's advanced culture is different from China's slave society and feudal society, and it is a brand-new stage of human civilization. The main signs are: ① Based on Marxist scientific world outlook. Marxism has inherited all the outstanding cultural heritages of mankind, revealed the universal truth about the development of nature, human society and thinking, and especially revealed the historical development direction of capitalism's inevitable demise and victory according to the development law of capitalist social contradictions. On this basis, a complete system of proletarian social and political thoughts, world outlook and methodology, moral outlook and outlook on life has been formed. (2) It is based on public ownership of the means of production. This economic foundation and the socialist political system based on this economic foundation determine that the advanced socialist culture is completely different from the old civilization in nature, task, content and development direction. The advanced socialist culture serves the socialist public ownership economy. It is bound to establish and carry forward socialist collectivism and moral fashion, and advocate the ideology and morality as its development direction.

(3) Correctly apply the essence of Chinese patriotism, abandon the dross of slavery, feudalism and capitalism, and learn to treat traditional culture scientifically with dialectical materialism and historical materialism.

Culture is a historical category. Due to the development of economy, politics and society in different historical periods, culture should also keep pace with the times and develop together. China's traditional culture has experienced long ups and downs and has different characteristics in different historical stages. The traditional culture formed in the long feudal society has both essence and dross. To develop national culture, we must keep pace with the times, not only absorb inheritance, but also develop innovation. Any one-size-fits-all viewpoint and practice is wrong.
