Zhang Xiaodong's entrepreneurial story

Zhang Xiaodong was born in a ceramic family. His father Zhang Songmao and his mother Xu Yafeng are both masters of arts and crafts in China. My father is also the winner of China Arts and Crafts Lifetime Achievement Award, and he is the only craftsman in China ceramic industry who won the honor of "the first Asia-Pacific Handicraft Master". My mother, Xu Yafeng, a descendant of Eight Friends of Zhushan, participated in the creation and design of Chairman Mao's porcelain "750 1" and was one of the main founders. Zhang Xiaodong began to study art with his father at the age of six. 198 1 year entered the ceramic research institute of the Ministry of light industry to engage in art design. 1984 was admitted to the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Workers College for further study. 19 1 was invited to Japan to participate in the "Sino-Japanese cultural and artistic exchange activities", and then went to Japan to study porcelain art for three years.

From 65438 to 0993, he returned to China to establish JD.COM Ceramics Group Company, and served as the chief designer as the chairman. While he is engaged in ceramic business, he is also diligent in the practice of ceramic art creation. JD.COM Company has now developed into a powerful industrial company integrating production, exhibition and sales. Its products are sold well all over the country, and exported to overseas 10 countries and regions, enjoying a good reputation at home and abroad.

While diligently creating ceramic art, we will not hesitate to buy back ceramic treasures at a high price. Since 1993, it has invested nearly 10 million yuan to buy back a large number of ceramic treasures from Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries and regions, including more than 20 works by late famous ceramic artists such as "Eight Friends of Zhushan" and more than 80 representative works by contemporary national masters and professors. He has successively won the honorary titles of "National Model in the May 1st Era" and "The Most Influential Person in Promoting the Art Development in China in 2009".

Engaged in ceramic art creation for more than 30 years, he has accumulated certain creative experience and profound traditional cultural and artistic accomplishment, and formed his own unique style in painting techniques. Many works have won grand prizes in the national grand prix or been collected by famous museums at home and abroad. For example, the pastel bottle won the bronze prize in the third West Lake Expo China Arts and Crafts Grand Prix, the pastel porcelain plate won the silver prize in the ninth National Ceramic Art Design Innovation Grand Prix, the landscape porcelain plate won the gold medal in the 16th Guangzhou Asian Games "Maritime Silk Road-Jingdezhen Millennium Porcelain Culture Exhibition", and the thin-walled bowl "White Eyebrows on a Red Background" was collected by Emba China Modern Art Museum. "Fugui bloom" porcelain vase was awarded as "China Folk Art Collection Treasures" at the 20 10 Shanghai World Expo ... My artistic achievements were unanimously recognized by relevant departments and society, 1994 was awarded as an outstanding craftsman in the national arts and crafts industry, in 2005 as a "Senior Arts and Crafts Artist in Jiangxi Province" and in 2009 as a "Master of Arts and Crafts in Jiangxi Province" by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province.

While tirelessly engaged in ceramic career and artistic creation, more than 30 students are enthusiastic about cultivating a new generation of artistic talents and imparting skills, including professors, masters and scholars engaged in ceramic art research in scientific research institutions in Singapore, Japan and other countries, as well as masters of arts and crafts in provinces and cities, and some students have also obtained outstanding academic talents in the new period of the country. The "Zhang Songmao Ceramic Art Training Center", funded and founded, enrolled 30 senior arts and crafts artists with professional titles or above in the first phase, and was taught by Master Zhang Songmao himself, which received rave reviews.

With the experience of ceramics management and creation, 1993 began to work hard after returning from studying in Japan, and founded JD.COM Ceramics Group Company. The subordinate units of JD.COM Group include Jingdezhen Centennial Ceramic Treasures Museum, Dongping Import and Export Company, Hui Chong Ceramic Culture Development Co., Ltd., Songmao Kiln Painter Studio and Yubaozhai Ceramic Research Institute, with branches in Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong and Anhui, and hundreds of employees. Products sell well all over the country, and are exported to the United States, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao. The annual sales amount is more than 50 million US dollars, and the tax revenue is among the best among private ceramic enterprises in the city.

Over the years, Zhang Xiaodong engaged in ceramic business activities with a brand-new concept, trying to continuously improve the artistic taste and market price of Jingdezhen ceramics. In addition to the regular production and sales of ceramic products, JD.COM Company also took the lead in developing the business of ceramic artists' agents, helping artists to improve their social visibility and the grade and taste of their works, separating their creation and distribution, and allowing them to concentrate on creating fine products. CCTV's "Travel around China" film crew interviewed him. In 20 10, master Zhang Songmao's "Three Visits to the Cottage" porcelain plate painting was purchased and collected at a high price of130,000 yuan, thus creating a successful example of a new era in which the price of contemporary single-piece art ceramics in China exceeded 10 million yuan, which largely benefited from the operation of JD.COM's agent and was recognized and widely praised by people in the industry.
