Have you ever heard of the custom of "chasing married women"?
Before the wedding of Buyi compatriots, the man will invite two boys and a girl to pick up the bride, which is a bit like our bride. There are few of them, and the woman will invite two girls to accompany the bride to the man's house for a wedding. We are called virgin guests. People sent by the man to pick up the bride call it "holding the drum" and "holding the drum". To pick up the bride in the village will be chased by the women's village, which is "chasing a woman."
According to legend, the origin of this custom is related to a legend: a long time ago, there was a beautiful Buyi girl named Achang and a handsome Buyi youth named Webb. One day, Chang and Webb got engaged, and Webb decided to go back to prepare the dowry the next day.
The next day, shortly after Webb left, a young general brought a lot of gold and silver and wanted to buy Chang as his wife. Dad saw these honeysuckle flowers and agreed to the general's request. Chang is anxious to hang her neck. I don't want to marry this general. I want to be with Webber and die. Grandma pitied her daughter and quietly asked Chang's two female companions to tell Webb.
The female companion caught up with Webb and hurriedly told what often happened. When Webb heard this, he got angry. On the road, he made an appointment with two Buyi youths and a Buyi girl, asking them to help him meet Chang.
Six people went back to Chang's stockade together. Webb hid outside the stockade and asked two young students and three girls to meet Chang. As soon as five people took Chang out of the house, my father saw it and called the people in the stockade to come over. The two boys let the four girls run first, and they stayed to resist. They beat and ran, and ran over Triple Mountain and Mishima Valley, but the people in the stockade pretended not to catch up and let Chang go.
From then on, Buyi people will chase the bride to see her off.
Summary: The origin of this custom may not be true, but "chasing women" has continued to this day. Maybe parents don't want to marry a woman, so people have to vent their anger. My uncle is smart, I won't go, but I will work harder if I go. Let's go
