Manual teaching: dried flower mobile phone case

Materials required:

Flat dried flowers; Flat, sturdy white mobile phone case; Process glue; Magnetic tape; Scissors; Parchment paper (other paper is also acceptable); Ruler; Fine-pointed marker; Timer; Two clean plastic cups; Two sticks; 50/50 casting epoxy resin (resin and curing agent); Acetone (or nail cleaning oil containing acetone); Cotton swabs; Flash powder (optional).

Production method:

Embossed on the phone case, put on what you like. Note that light-colored flowers are best placed under dark flowers, and the embossing thickness should not exceed 1.5mm, otherwise the resin may not cover the mobile phone case. You can take pictures of your patterns with your mobile phone for reference.

Remove the embossing from the phone case and put it on both sides for use. Gently apply a small amount of glue to the largest flower and stick it to the phone case. Continue to paste other embossing until the required layout is completed.

Next, it needs to be shaped with resin and needs to be carried out in a well-ventilated production environment.

First, cut out a piece of parchment about 60cm long with scissors and stick it on a flat table with adhesive tape. Pick up your resin and read the instructions carefully. (Note: If the instruction manual of the resin you bought is inconsistent with the following steps, you must follow the steps in the instruction manual, otherwise it will be stuck in a mess. )

Put the ruler in a plastic cup and make two marks on the cup with a fine-pointed marker. The first mark is 3/8 inch (about 9.5 mm), and the second mark is 3/4 inch (about 19 mm).

Set the timer to 2 minutes and prepare a wooden stick to stir. Slowly pour the resin into the plastic cup until the first mark (3/8 inch). Remember that accurate dosage is very important, and don't be too generous when pouring. Next, slowly pour the curing agent until the second mark (3/4 inch), making sure not to pour too much.

Start the timer and stir with a wooden stick for 2 minutes to ensure that the wooden stick rubs the cup wall from time to time. When you see many bubbles in the cup, don't worry, they will disappear after a while. Time is up, put the second plastic cup on the table and prepare a second useless wooden stick to stir.

Optional: If you want to add some sequins to the phone case, you can sprinkle some into the mixture now.

Next, set the counter to 1 min, pour the mixture in the first cup into the second cup, continue stirring until the timer stops, and let it stand for 5 minutes.

Slowly pour a small amount of newly prepared resin into the middle of the phone case, instead of adding too much resin because of being too cautious.

Then apply the resin to the edge of the mobile phone case with a wooden stick to ensure that the resin does not exceed the edge of the case. Pour more resin on the box until the back of the box and all the reliefs are covered. Blow gently the bubbles floating on the surface to make them disappear.

Put the handle case on parchment, and always pay attention to it during the drying process (about one to two hours). If resin overflows at the edge of the mobile phone case, wipe it clean with a cotton swab dipped in acetone.

Once the first layer of resin dries, check your phone case to make sure all the embossing is covered. If necessary, a second resin coating can be added.

In this way, a beautiful dried flower mobile phone case is completed. Isn't it beautiful and different? Haha, just wait to be teased!
