Basic steps

1, grey primer

The treatment method is to clean the surface of the base first, brush a piece of raw tung oil diluted with three times of rosin water to make it penetrate into a certain depth to reinforce the cement base, dry it, polish it, and then fill it with fine particles, not too thick but dense. Scrape the plane with a thin steel sheet and the curved surface with a rubber sheet.

After dry grinding and full grinding, plate marks and joints should be ground flat, cleaned and dusted. Subsequently, a small amount of varnish and a proper amount of water are added to the fine putty to make a batch of materials with a thickness of about 2 mm, which are dried and polished until the surface is smooth, no seams can be seen, and the floating ash is swept away, and then the first-class tung oil without diluent is fully brushed and infiltrated into the putty layer to achieve the purpose of strengthening the putty layer. If there is oil slick on the surface, it should be polished in time, thoroughly dried, finely ground, cleaned and dusted.

2, drawing lofting

After the basic treatment is completed, you can measure the size and draw the pattern. First, accurately measure the length and width of the drawing part of the color painting, and then match the paper, with high-quality kraft paper as the best, and the length and width are not enough for splicing. Color painting patterns are generally symmetrical up and down, and paper can be folded in half from top to bottom. First, draw the required pattern on the paper with carbon strips, then outline it with an ink pen, and then spread it out to form a complete pattern.

After drawing the details, use a large needle to tie the spectrum, and the pinhole spacing is about 2 or 3 mm When punching holes, you can pad felt or foam under the paper. In case of asymmetric patterns such as hearts, algae heads and boxes, spread out paper to draw. Before placing the components, sand the oil-producing floor with sandpaper and wipe it with a water cloth.

Then determine the horizontal and vertical center lines of the parts, position and spread the paper, and pat it hole by hole with a powder bag, so that the toner can be printed on the ground through pinhole, and the pattern of color painting can be printed accurately.

3, color coating

Traditional color painting is a stylized pattern, and its color setting has certain rules. Generally speaking, it is based on the principles of light and shade and turquoise. The horizontal direction is: the light is green, the second time is green, the third time is green, and so on. The color-setting rules of seal color painting, rotary color painting and Soviet color painting are basically similar, but the new color painting has no fixed color-setting rules.

Color painting is a key process, and there can be no mistakes. The craftsmen set codes for different colors, namely, one beige, two light cyan, three fragrant colors, four nitrate red, five pink purple, six magenta green, seven buddha green, eight stone yellow, nine purple, ten black smoke and eleven red.

Write the code directly on the battlefield, then put all kinds of pigments in the right place according to the color number, paint them once or twice, and then paint them with varnish for protection after drying. Pigments for color painting are generally finished paints of various colors.
