Stone Painting Method (I)

1.Physical Character

The Mustard Seed Garden Painting Manual calls stone "the bone of heaven and earth". Stone has no fixed form, either square or round, with hardness and heaviness as its main characteristics. In the painting of birds and flowers, stone often appears in the picture as the background of birds and flowers. The rough texture and varied shapes of the stones contrast with the flowers and birds and add visual weight to the picture. The combination of stone and water gives a fresh, quiet and relaxing mood, and also gives a natural harmony that combines strength and softness. Stone in nature in different geographic locations, there are lake stone, rock, rock. 3. Method of Painting Stones
