What are the tourist attractions in Henan?

Longmen Grottoes is one of the treasures of stone carving art in China. It is now a world cultural heritage, a national key cultural relic protection unit and a national AAAAA-level tourist attraction. It is located in Longmen Mountain and Xiangshan Mountain on both sides of the Yihe River in Luolong District, Luoyang City, Henan Province. Longmen Grottoes, Mogao Grottoes, Yungang Grottoes and Maijishan Grottoes are also called the four major grottoes in China.

The Longmen Grottoes were dug in the reign of Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty, and after more than 400 years of large-scale construction in the Eastern Wei Dynasty, the Western Wei Dynasty, the Northern Qi Dynasty, the Sui Dynasty, the Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties and the Song Dynasty, the length from north to south was 1 km. Among them, Longmen Twenty is the essence of Weibei calligraphy, and Chu Suiliang's A Que Buddhist Shrine Monument is a model of regular script art in the early Tang Dynasty.

2. Yuntai Mountain in Jiaozuo-Shennong Mountain-Qingtianhe Scenic Area

Yuntaishan Scenic Area is located in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, with a total area of 240 square kilometers, including Hongshi Gorge, Tanpu Gorge, Quanpu Gorge, Qinglong Gorge, Linfeng Gorge, Fangzi Lake, Cornus officinalis Peak, Diecai Cave, Macaque Valley, Baijiayan and Wanshan Temple 1 scenic spot. Yuntai Mountain Scenic Area is named after the high mountains and steep slopes and the misty peaks and valleys all year round.

Qingtianhe, a scenic spot called "Three Gorges in the North", is located in Boai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province. Qingtianhe is a world geopark, a national key scenic spot, a national AAAAA-level tourist area, a national water conservancy scenic spot, a Taihang Mountain national macaque nature reserve, a scientific investigation and exploration base for young people in China, the top ten most attractive scenic spots and the top ten tourist hotspots in Henan Province. The scenic spot covers an area of 106 square kilometer and consists of 7 tourist areas, including Tianjingguan, Daquan Lake, Sanguquan, Guanyin Gorge, Foer Gorge, Jinjialing and Yueshan Temple, and 308 scenic spots.

3. Kaifeng Qingming Shangheyuan Scenic Area

Qingming Shangheyuan is a large-scale Song Dynasty cultural landscape theme park, located on the west bank of Longting Lake in Kaifeng City. It is the first batch of AAAAA-level tourist attractions in China and the exhibition base of China's intangible cultural heritage. It is a cultural theme park based on painter Zhang Zeduan's realistic painting "The Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival", with the theme of street culture, folk customs, royal gardens and ancient entertainment in Song Dynasty, and featuring tourists' participation and experience. The large-scale folk amusement park in Song Dynasty, which reproduces the original landscape, reproduces the prosperous scenery of Bianjing, a thousand-year-old ancient capital.

4. Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area in Songxian County, Luoyang

Baiyun Mountain in Luoyang is located in the hinterland of Funiu Mountain, a world geological park in the south of Songxian County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. There are 37 peaks at an altitude of1.500m, of which Yuhuangding is the first peak in the Central Plains, which is the best place to watch the sunrise and the sea of clouds. The total area of the scenic spot is168km2, and five tourist areas, namely Bai Yunfeng, Yuhuangding, Jijiaoman (Little Huangshan Mountain), Jiulong Waterfall and Primitive Forest, and five leisure areas, namely Baiyun Lake, Alpine Forest Oxygen Bar, Alpine Peony Garden, Liu Hou Temple and Luhua Valley, have been developed.

5. Laojun Mountain-Jiguandong Scenic Spot in Luoyang

Laojunshan, whose real name is Shi Jingshan, is the holy land of Quanzhen, the mainstream Taoism. It is located three kilometers southeast of Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. Laojun Mountain is the main peak of Funiu Mountain, 800 Li above sea level. Li Er (that is, Lao Zi), who was revered by Taoism as an old gentleman on Mount Tai, practiced in this mountain, so Emperor Taizong renamed Shi Jing Laojun Mountain.

Since the Northern Wei Dynasty, Laojun Mountain has been an important place for pilgrims to worship in surrounding counties, and the Taiqing Taoist Temple at the top of the mountain was also built in the Northern Wei Dynasty. Laojun Mountain is a national AAAAA scenic spot, a national nature reserve, a world geological park and a national geological park. It is the main peak of Funiu Mountain within 800 miles of Qinling Mountains, with an altitude of 2,297 meters. There are unique "sliding peak forest" landforms on the mountain, spectacular stone forest attractions and other landscape groups, which give people great spiritual shock.
