1. Handan, a municipality under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, is located at the southern end of Hebei Province, the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, the western section of Taihang Mountain, and the eastern part of North China Plain, bordering Shanxi, Shandong and Henan provinces, with a total area of 12073.8 square kilometers.
