Practice Tai Ji Chuan how to tell the true from the false.
The first is to practice the deficiency and excess of lower limbs. There are three joints in lower limbs: hip joint, knee joint and ankle joint. The lower limbs mainly play the role of forward inversion and backward inversion. At the turning point of advance and retreat, the hip joint, knee joint and ankle joint should be in a straight line in the middle of the curve, and the virtual reality should be distinguished. The leg that bears the weight of the body is a solid leg, and the other leg is a virtual leg. With the change of the center of gravity, the real leg and the virtual leg are constantly changing. For example, the left stretch of "Wu's Taiji Biography" starts with eight steps, and six or seven of the ten body centers of gravity are on the right leg, which is a real leg, and the left leg plays an auxiliary role, which is a virtual leg; Then form a left lunge, the left leg becomes a real leg, and the right leg becomes a virtual leg. This is the change of the left stretch leggings. It should be noted here that the center of gravity should fall on the solid Yongquan point, not on the heel or the palm of the front foot. In the past, the old-timers said that "the spring is weak." In other words, Yongquan point has no power, so it can't take root, stand unsteadily and lose its meaning. Therefore, the solid Yongquan point must attract the ground, so that the pace can be stable. The other leg is usually the forefoot or heel of the foot, which plays an auxiliary role. Here, although the virtual reality of feet is clearly defined, virtual reality and virtual reality must be realized. Li Yizhen said: "Not standing completely, but being free in reality; Virtual is not completely powerless, and there is reality in virtual. " There are opportunities for mutual transformation between reality and reality. Practicing Tai Ji Chuan requires that the whole body is full of excess and deficiency, which are always changing with each other. This is a virtual reality, and the real reality is virtual. This transformation between reality and reality is mainly reflected in posture. Therefore, Wu Yuxiang proposed "dynamic flash", demanding that the virtual and the real should be changed as soon as possible.
Secondly, after practicing the transformation of lower limb virtual reality, we should also practice the change of upper limb virtual reality and distinguish the opening and closing of upper limb virtual reality. Upper limbs include shoulder joint, elbow joint and wrist joint, among which elbow joint is the most important and plays a role in flexion and extension. Tai Ji Chuan's movements, no matter what kind of boxing, simple or complex, are inseparable from the words flexion, extension, rise and fall. During flexion and extension, the shoulder joint, elbow joint and wrist joint should be in a straight line in the middle of the curve. How to distinguish between excess and deficiency in upper limb flexion and extension? Tai Ji Chuan is still, still and motionless, so it is important to distinguish reality from reality with ideas. For example, when hands do actions, one is high and one is low, and the other is tandem. Whether it is softening or exerting force, which hand is your idea, which hand is real and the other hand is empty. Therefore, the virtual reality of upper limbs is distinguished by ideas. This idea is used according to the meaning of martial arts.
Thirdly, after distinguishing the virtual reality of upper limbs and lower limbs, we should practice the intersection of virtual reality and real reality. For example, if the left hand is real, then the left leg is empty; True right hand, empty right leg. Don't form the right hand and right leg to be real or virtual at the same time. This is unbalanced. Tai Ji Chuan pays attention to balance and balance. If the hands and feet on the same side are both real or virtual, they will be biased and unstable. So be sure to cross your hands and feet so that your center of gravity will be stable when you practice boxing.
I think, when practicing Tai Ji Chuan, if we basically do the above three points, we can distinguish the true from the false. This is based on the overall situation. Besides these three points, you should also make sure that there is truth everywhere and falsehood everywhere. For example, knee jump: the left hand kneels and the right hand slaps. At the beginning, the left hand is real and the right hand is empty; When the left hand reaches over the knee to form a lunge, the left hand is empty and the right hand is solid. When the right hand moves forward, the finger is real, and the palm root and wrist are virtual. When the posture is fixed, the wrist, fingers and palms are raised. At this time, the thenar point of the right hand is solid, and other parts are virtual. If you want to further improve your Tai Ji Chuan, you should not only distinguish between reality and excess in a big way, but also practice the changes of reality and excess in a small part. This subtle change of reality is based on the meaning of boxing action. This reality is changing very rapidly.
What I said above is only the change of physical reality. We should further practice the change of physical reality. This is what Wang Zongyue called "flickering" in On the Biography of Taiji. Hidden is empty, and now it is real. This "flickering" change of reality is entirely based on the depth of the practitioners' kung fu and their understanding of Tai Ji Chuan, which is the embodiment of the change of reality and reality by God's will.
In addition, when pushing hands, we should also distinguish between virtual and real changes. There are five training stages of Taijiquan tuishou, namely "Shun, Inverse, Change, Empty and Metaphysics". These five stages of practice, simply speaking, are to train the change of the opening and closing of the virtual and the real, which cannot be separated from the principle of Taijiquan, that is, "if you fail to get started, you will come out." In this regard, "Wu's Taiji Biography" summed up two sentences: "Force the time to go, enter every gap." Is to meet a force, you go; If the other party has a flaw, attack from here and where to fight next. This is the requirement of realistic change when pushing hands. The changing requirements of the actual situation of Sanshou are even more complicated, which cannot be clearly stated in a few words. But it is basically the opening and closing change of virtual and real. This change in reality is not fixed, but a change that conforms to the actual situation.
